Booster Club Meeting Minutes

1. The minutes from the April 12th meeting were unanimously approved as submitted.
2. The financial report, as prepared by Crystal Lizana, was unanimously accepted.
3. The Hall of Fame committee provided the following updates:
      a. Damani Brown, Alexis Chappell, Jaimee Collins and John Williams, III were elected            to the Hall. Raven Harris and De’Jour Washington were selected as Heart Award
           recipients. Dan Sullivan and Martha Vivian were elected to the Hall as coaches.
      b. The dinner will be held on June 12th at Ludlow Country Club. Reception begins at
          6:00 PM with dinner being served at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20 each and include $5
          worth of raffle tickets. Coaches, inductees (and up to three guests) are admitted
          free of charge.
      c. A raffle will be held and we are actively seeking donations of “gift baskets” to use as
          prizes.
4. Senior jackets ($55 each) have been ordered from Whips Sporting Goods and will be
distributed at the Spring season athletic award ceremony.
5. The spring season award ceremony date has been set for 6/13. Refreshments at 5:30 PM.
6. Homecoming is beginning to take shape as games for jv and varsity boys’and girls’
soccer have been finalized for the 9/24 event. Student Life will use the event to kick-off
their school spirit week.
7. A discussion on the fall calendar raffle was tabled because Todd Fairman was absent.
8. Next month is the annual meeting and a call for interest in new members and club
officers was presented. A vacancy for secretary currently exists, although it is hoped the
other officers will continue in their current positions.
9. The next meeting was set for June 9thand the meeting was adjourned.

Shayne Audet scattered just two hits and he struck out 16 as the varsity baseball team earned a come from behind win over St. Mary’s by a score of 5 – 2.  Sylvain Audet and Kyle Pingree had two hits apiece to power the offensive charge.  Antonio Rivera stole home to give the jv baseball team a 3 to 3 tie in their game at St. Mary’s.  Your girls varsity tennis team earned a 3 – 2 win over Palmer yesterday.  Olivia Hatten won at third singles, while both doubles team earned victories to lead the team to their road win.  Today we have the varsity softball team here at 4:00 PM, the boys tennis team getting up to Turners Falls and the volleyball team travelling to Ware.  Tomorrow the softball team goes to Gateway and the boys and girls track teams will enter the Western Mass championship meet.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Gabriella Harris won the 100 meter sprint and anchored the 4 by 100 relay as the girls’ track and field team defeated Pioneer Regional by a score of 87 – 57 yesterday.  An’janae Washington, Tianna Scott, Remani Lizana, Kayla Lazzari, Franchesca Diaz and Tanialyz Almenas also took home top honors to lead the girls to the victory.    Nathan Reed took home the win at second singles, but your boys’ tennis team lost to Westfield High by a 4-1 score and the girls tennis team dropped their match to Holyoke High despite wins at first and second singles by Abby Sullivan and Emma Smith.  Today we have both the baseball and the softball teams here at home with games beginning at 4:00 PM and the boys’ tennis team entertaining PVCA at Forest Park.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Attention all girls in grades 6 – 11 – an informational meeting will be held for fall soccer on Thursday of this week (that’s tomorrow) during Student Life periods in room 243.

Brandon Cavanaugh was solid on the hill as your varsity baseball team earned an 8 – 2 win over Gateway yesterday.  Xavier Vegerano had three hits and three RBI as the boys kept their tournament hopes alive.  Armando Morales had 6 strikeouts on the mound as the JV baseball team earned an 11 – 2 win over Gateway as well.  Gianna Berardi and Hannah Brooks managed the only hits for the varsity softball team as the girls dropped a one-sided game to Ware.  The jv lost by mercy rule as well.  Your boys tennis team lost a league match to Greenfield by a 4 – 1 score.  Anh Nugyen took the team’s only point at first singles.  Today we have the girls track and field team taking on Pioneer, the boys tennis team getting over to Westfield High and the girls tennis team travelling to Holyoke.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

The boys varsity volleyball team made quick work of their Sci-Tech match on Friday as they guys earned a straight set win.  Today we have the girls softball teams here at home with games beginning at 4:00 PM.  We also have the boys baseball teams travelling out to Gateway Regional and the boys tennis team getting up to Greenfield.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Informational meetings for the fall golf team will be held today during student life period in Ms. Larson’s room.  We will announce the meetings for cross country, boys and girls soccer, and girls volleyball as soon as they are scheduled.

Shayne Audet struck out 15 hitters and Sylvain Audet and Kyle Pingree knocked out three hits apiece as the varsity baseball team took a   6 – 1 win over Monson yesterday.  Armando Morales struck out seven, but your jv baseball team dropped a 4 – 3 game.  Your volleyball team took a   3 – 0 win over Dean Tech yesterday as they improved their season record to 7 wins and just 4 losses.  Hannah Brooks had two hits, but your varsity softball team lost a one-sided game to Granby.  The jv softball team played arguably their best game of the season as Asher Joseph was solid in the circle and Alexa Jacques and Juliette Theriault were flawless in the field.  Your girls tennis team swept Central and both the girls and boys track teams performed well in a multi-school meet at East Longmeadow.  Gabby Harris, Alizaya Clark and An’janae Washington took home top honors in the dash events in their dual win over Putnam, while Lashae Jackson took top honors in the 400 meter hurdles and Eliza Mullin won the long jump.  Today we have the baseball teams taking on Putnam and the girls softball teams entertaining Southwick.  The varsity volleyball team will get up to Smith Voke and both tennis teams are in action as well.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.
