It was a triple header sweep for your boys’ basketball teams as the varsity used a torrid second half of play to overcome a 10 point half time deficit and defeat Agawam High School by a score of 60 – 49.  Aaron Williams, Souleymane Diaby and Jaren Suttles each recorded double figure offensive nights to lead the guys to their third league win in a row.  Taj Wheeler had 14 points and Gabe Perez added 10 as the jv guys used a solid team effort to defeat Agawam in the preliminary game.  On the road it was your freshmen team downing Agawam by a 59 – 20 margin as Sydney Borges had a season high 19 points and Darin Smith added 16 in the win.  Today we have the girls jv and varsity basketball teams here against Granby High and tomorrow it’s the wrestling team closing out their league schedule with a match here against Hampden Charter School for Science.  On Thursday the guys basketball teams travel to Chicopee Comp for a first place showdown in league play and on Friday the guys are right back into it with a home game against Holyoke High.  Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff is admitted free.

Your girls’ varsity basketball team dropped a close contest to Palmer here on Friday.  Paris Lizana had 15 points to lead the girls offensively and Genevieve Wellington was solid defensively in the loss.  Your junior varsity girls took the second game of the triple header by a 33 – 22 score.  Tatianna Skarzynski had 10 points to pace the girls, while MaddieWyzynski chipped in with 7 points. In the opening game of the girls’ day it was Chon-sa Cardona and Salimata Diaby with 8 points apiece leading the girls to their win over Gateway Regional.  Today it’s the boys’ freshmen basketball team getting over to Agawam and the jv and varsity here for a big league game beginning at 5:30 PM.   Tomorrow we have the girls jv and varsity teams here against Granby High and on Wednesday it’s the wrestling team closing out their league schedule with a match here against Hampden Charter School for Science.  Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff is admitted free.

Can you believe that February is just about here? Wow! Time is flying and our last month of the basketball season is here! I want to thank everyone who has helped at the concession stand thus far. Your wrestling team scored a decisive win over Southwick last night as Quintin Pellegrino, Christian Kelly, Xavier Reyes, Jalen Rogers, Nehemiah Johnson, Jacob Dagenais, Jason Alves and Chris Marion each recorded on mat wins.  Salimata Diaby had 11 points to pace your girls freshmen basketball team, but the girls lost a three point contest on the road at Pioneer Regional High School.  Today is picture day for all winter season athletic teams.  We get back into game action tomorrow with a girls triple header as the freshmen kick things off in a 4:00 PM game against Gateway Regional and the girls jv and varsity match up against Palmer. Saturday the wrestling team gets things going again with a multi school match on the road.  Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff are admitted free.

Your girls’ varsity basketball team used a torrid defensive effort to shut down Ludlow last night over the final three quarters and take a come from behind 37 – 30 win here at home.  Paris Lizana led all scorers with 13 points, while Safaire Bryant and Amani Smith had 9 points apiece in the win.  Your freshmen girls also took home a win as they defeated Gateway Regional on the road.  Salimata Diaby had 10 points to lead the way.  Your jv girls lost at home despite some solid play from Si’ana Washington.  Tonight the wrestlers try and keep their undefeated streak alive as they are here against Southwick.  Doors open at 6:00 PM and your girls freshmen go back to back as they travel to Pioneer Valley Reginal High School.   Friday we have a girls triple header with the freshmen kicking things off in a 4:00 PM game against Gateway Regional and the girls jv and varsity matching up against Palmer.  Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff are admitted free.

Congratulations to the varsity wrestling team on their 47 – 30 team win over Hampshire Regional last night.  Christian Rivas, Khadir Zachery, Xavier Reyes, Jalen Rogers, Nehemiah Johnson, Jason Alves and Joshua Dagenais each recorded individual wins on the night,.  Your boys’ varsity basketball team made it two wins in a row as they defeated Minnechaug last night on the road.  Aaron Williams, Soulemayne Diaby and Jaren Suttles led the offensive charge.  The jv boys recorded the win in the preliminary game.  Jahmal Campbell, Jalen Thomas and Paul Roberts led the very balanced scoring for the night.  Today it’s a girls’ day as the freshmen team travels to Gateway, while the jv and varsity entertain Ludlow here beginning at 5:30 PM.  Tomorrow the wrestlers try and keep their undefeated streak alive as they are here against Southwick and the girls freshmen go back to back as they travel to Pioneer Valley Reginal High School.   Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Congratulations to your wrestling team as they picked up four team wins on Saturday out at Mt. Everett High School.  Jalen Rogers, Khadir Zachery, Jacob Dagenias, Christian Rivas, Anthony DeCasse and Nehemiah Johnson each recorded four individual wins as well.  Your girls’ varsity basketball team dropped a competitive game to Amherst on Friday.  Amani Smith had 11 points to lead the way, while Sydney Barklow and Safaire Bryant had 9 points apiece.  Today your boys’ freshmen basketball team will entertain Minnechaug here at 4:00 PM, while the jv and varsity teams will travel to Minnechaug.  Your wrestling team gets right back at it with a match out at Hampshire Regional.  Tomorrow it’s a girls’ day as the freshmen team travels to Gateway, while the jv and varsity entertain Ludlow here beginning at 5:30 PM.  On Wednesday the wrestlers are here against Southwick and the girls freshmen go back to back as they travel to Pioneer Valley High School.   Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Souleymane Diaby had 21 points and Jaren Suttles chipped in with 18 as your boys varsity basketball team opened their league season with a 70 – 56 win over West Springfield High here last night.  They guys used a high energy end-to-end defensive set to take control of the game early on.  Aaron Williams had 12 points and Tre Hodge 8 in the total team effort.  James Gonzalez had 22 points and Taj Wheeler added 10 as the junior varsity basketball team took the win in the preliminary game.  The boys freshmen team dropped a tight contest on the road by a score of    35 – 30.  Josh Colon led the Bulldog scoring.  Tonight we have your girls jv and varsity opening their league season as they each will entertain Amherst High and tomorrow we have your wrestlers getting out to Mt. Everett High School.  Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Finally, preseason athletic conditioning will take place tomorrow morning for girls from 9 – 11 AM and for boys from 10 – noon.  The open gym is being sponsored by the softball and baseball teams but is open for anyone interested in attending.

Attention SENIORS and their FAMILIES – college grants and scholarships are now available.   You need to complete the FAFSA to provide the required SAR ( Student Aid Report) to finish up applying for GRANTS and SCHOLARSHIPS!  Remember grants and scholarships are FREE, yes FREE money to help pay for college!  See Mr. Morris and sign up for a meeting outside room  212 ASAP !
