Jeremy Ndungo had three goals and your boys jv soccer team scored a 7 – 2 win over Putnam yesterday. The guys had solid team play to record the home win. Today we have the golf team traveling to Franklin Tech, while the rest of the teams ready themselves for tomorrow’s Homecoming games. Remember that games will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until about 2:30 PM. Plenty of food and games of chance will be available for sale. Come early and stay late and enjoy the activities.

The girls took the first game, but couldn’t hold on as they dropped their second match this week. Your jv girls also fell to Holyoke in the preliminary match. Liz Villa, Sauna Charles and Amaya Harris played well to lead our girls. The freshmen girls team lost in straight sets on the road to Holyoke as well. Kayleena Colon played well in the loss

Informational meetings to winter sports will begin next week. The family ID website will open on Monday for all registrations for boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, indoor track and field and wrestling. We will announce the days and room locations soon. Winter season athletic teams are open to all students in grades 7 – 12.
Your girls freshmen volleyball team dropped a close, exciting match to Tantasqua Regional High School yesterday by a score of 2 – 1. Lanaya Greene and Ciera Rivera led the way, but it was a total team effort. All outdoor games were postponed due to the weather. Today we have the girls jv and varsity volleyball teams here beginning at 4:30 PM, while the freshmen volleyball team travels to Holyoke. Tomorrow the boys jv soccer team entertains Putnam, while the girls soccer teams travel to Easthampton High. Good luck to all our teams!

Want to play a winter sport? The online registration will open on the family ID website on Monday for boys and girls basketball, wrestling, cheerleading and new this year – indoor track and field. Information meetings for each sport will begin next week. We will provide the dates and times as it gets closer.
Your boys varsity soccer team earned a hard fought win over Mahar yesterday. Jovan Wallace, Tre Hodge, Elijah Nixon and Anthony Britt scored to give the guys the 4 -3 road win. The jv guys dropped a 4 – 3 game. Riley Miles, Jeremy Ndungo and Kendall Wallace found the back of the net for your guys. The girls varsity volleyball team lost a close match over at Ludlow. Tyleisia Cooper played well at the net for the girls. The jv girls fell by a 2 – 1 score in the preliminary match. Sauna Charles, Lena Lewis and Liz Villa were solid. Your girls freshmen volleyball team earned a hard fought and exciting win over Ludlow. Avyana Escobar and Kayleena Little were solid with the serve all afternoon, while Kaylee Little and Ciera Rivera led the way with digs. Nadia Nowicki, Stephanie Bergman, Alina Cantella and Grace Blase finished numbers two through five overall to spark the girls cross country team to a win over Sci-Tech. Jared Denson finished first overall, but your boys cross country team dropped a close contest with Sci-Tech. Kevin West was second for the guys and fifth overall in the loss.
This Saturday is our Homecoming Day and in addition to booths and games, we have a full slate of athletic events. It’s non-stop volleyball as the freshmen jv and varsity go back-to-back beginning at 9:00 AM. The girls soccer teams kick off the outdoor portion of the games at 10:00 AM ,while both cross country teams get things off at approximately 11:45 AM. Finally we finish the day with 1:00 PM jv and varsity boys soccer games. Be sure to arrive early and stay late. Saturday… is Homecoming Day!

Elizabeth Villa, Daisy Matos and Amaya Harris played well for the girls. Your girls varsity soccer team dropped a 3 – 2 game to Central on Friday despite holding a 2 – 1 lead at the half. Your girls varsity volleyball team improved their record to 6 wins and just 1 loss with a 3 – 0 win over Greenfield last night. Aurora Garcia, Sydney Barklow and Tyleisia Cooper were solid in the win. The jv girls took home a 2 – 1 win in the preliminary. Amaya Harris, Narah Johnson and Sauna Charles played well in the win. Your boys varsity soccer team lost a tough 2 – 1 game at South Hadley. Jovan Wallace had the lone score for the guys. The jv guys lost in a shoot out by an 8 – 5 score. Kendall Wallace had a three goal afternoon and Riley Miles added two in the loss. The golf team recorded their first win of the year with a sweep over Central yesterday. Bryan Trinh was solid on the afternoon. We have no information on the cross country results.

Tyleishia Cooper, Cassie Fairman and Aurora Garcia were solid throughout as the girls continued their winning ways. The jv girls also recorded the road win in the preliminary game. Sauna Charles, Daisy Matos and Amaya Harris played well to lead the girls. Your boys varsity soccer team recorded a one-sided win over Greenfield. Jovan Wallace had 3 goals and an assist to lead the offensive charge. Anthony Lazzari had 2 goals and an assist in the win. Davian Alban and James Monts combined for the shutout in the goal. Your girls varsity soccer team kept their winning ways going with a one-sided win over Renaissance. Ajianni Blackman had four goals in the win. Samantha Odom, Gianna Skakowski and Sara Pierce each scored their first varsity goal. Finally the golf team lost a heartbreaker to Mahar. Michael Green, Michael Scoville, Colin Consedine, Zariah Green and Alexandria Barnard-Davignon recorded individual points on the afternoon.

Cassie Fairman put on one of the finest all-around displays of team leadership yesterday as the senior hitter served flawlessly to lead the varsity girls volleyball team to a 3 – 0 win over Easthampton yesterday. Fairman went off for 10 aces in the second and third games to ensure the win. Kyra Scott, Sydney Barklow and Aurora Garcia were solid in supporting roles. The jv volleyball team lost in the preliminary match, despite some great defense from Crystal Santana, Kiarah Clue and Daisy Matos. Your boys varsity soccer team opened their season with a 2 – 1 loss at Pioneer Regional. Jovan Wallace scored the lone goal for the guys. Brandon Nguyen, Kendall Wallace and Derrand Brown scored for the jv boys as they earned a 3 – 3 tie at Pioneer. Michael Green, Michael Scoville, Colin Consedine and Zariah Green recorded individual points, but the golf team fell to Mohawk Trail by a score of 14.5 to 9.5 yesterday. Finally both the girls snd boys cross country teams had a win and a loss in their tai-school meets yesterday, Jared Denson finished first for your Bulldogs as the guys beat Renaissance, while freshman Nadia Nowicki finished first for her team and fourth overall. Alina Cantella, Adriana Carmona, Stephanie Bergman and Grace Blase rounded out the top five finishers for the girls.

The girls dropped the first game and then swept in the next three to earn the league win. The boys varsity soccer game was postponed due to the weather. Today we have both Cross Country teams over at Forest Park, the golf team getting back into action with a match at Veterans, the boys soccer teams traveling up to Pioneer Regional and the girls volleyball teams hosting Easthampton.

Your golf team opened their season yesterday as they dropped a league match at Pathfinder. Michael Green was solid as he took home the top honors on the afternoon with an individual win. Both the jv and varsity girls soccer teams lost one-sided games at South Hadley yesterday. Danae Holmes ad Ellie Gaudet were solid defensively in the jv game.

Girls Volleyball opened with a JV and Varsity sweep over Mohawk Regional yesterday. JV started with strong team serving led by Kiarah Clue (10 aces) and Amaya Harris (7 aces). Tabitha Picot (2 kills) and Jillian Lavendar (1 kill) were solid at the net. Cassie Fairman was solid all around as your girls varsity volleyball team earned a 3 – 0 win over Mohawk Trail Regional High School yesterday. Fairman had 3 assists, 5 aces and 7 kills. She also provided a leadership presence on the floor as she repeatedly settled her teammates and helped them quiet the Mohawk attack. Angie Gonzalez, Brianna Martinez, Aurora Garcia and Kate Phommasith were also solid in the win. All games scheduled for today with Springfield Public schools have been postponed. Practice schedules have been announced by each coach. A full slate of games is scheduled for next week. We hope to see you in the stands.
