Today our boys’ varsity basketball team takes the next step towards a state championship as they will get things going at 5:30 PM against Dover-Sherborn High School at Worcester State University. If you’re planning to attend the game it will be held in the Wellness Center on campus. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. Our fan bus is closed to new sign-ups, but if you have already registered for the bus – it will leave from the main lobby at 3:15 PM promptly. Please be in the lobby ready to board the bus on time.
If you can’t attend the game it will be broadcast live on Unity Radio – “Worcester’s Community Connection.” It is on the air at- WUTY 102.9 FM – Worcester and also available On line – www.UnityRadioMA.org
The game will be broadcast live with Mr. Floyd doing the play by play.

The spring season is almost here. Tryouts will be held beginning on Monday. Due to the weather some sessions will be held off campus and others will be held at different times. We will post the time and location for each sport’s tryout sessions on the school monitors later today. If you have any questions check with Mr. Campagna, any of the coaches or Sam, our Athletic Trainer.
Remember – you must register online and have a current physical exam on file with the Athletic Trainer in order to be eligible to attend a tryout session.
Congratulations to your boys varsity basketball team on their 64 – 55 win over Narragansett High School on Saturday. The win earned the guys the Western Mass Championship. The guys got off to a slow start and trailed at the half. But a composed second half of play saw the Bulldogs build a solid lead and cruise to the nine point win. Aaron Williams had 22 points to pace the offensive efforts, while Tre Hodge and Souleymane Diaby each had 13 points and some big baskets. Ja’Quan Johnson, Jamal Jackson and Kisean Johnson also contributed on both ends of the court. In fact, JJ helped provide some energy and court vision as the guys picked up the pace of the game and their torrid defensive efforts were game changing.
With the Western Mass championship banner in hand, it’s off to the state semi-final game which will be played at Worcester State University on Wednesday at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. We will run a staff and Sabis student fan bus if we get a minimum of fifteen students registered with permission slips by the end of the day on Tuesday. We will NOT take any signups for the bus on Wednesday and we will not reserve a spot for anyone without a signed permission slip. The bus will leave at 3:15 PM. Please be advised that bags, backpacks and selfie sticks will not be allowed into the gymnasium. Any questions please see Mr. Campagna.

Attention all staff and students: Championship Saturday is almost here as tomorrow our boys varsity basketball team plays the 4:00 PM Western Mass Championship game at UMass. Admission is $7.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. We are asking for your support by attending the game. We will run a student fan bus (grades 8 – 12) that will leave here tomorrow at 2:15 PM. You just need a permission slip to hold your place on the bus. Students: Please wear white to the game for a Bulldog white-out of support. Good luck to our guys. Let’s bring home the banner! It’s time to register for spring sports now. The family ID website is open and waiting for you to register for all sports including baseball, softball, boys volleyball, tennis, and track and field Register now so we can clear you for tryouts.
Conditioning will be held tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM for anyone interested in softball. There will be no conditioning on Sunday for baseball.

We are running a fan bus for our students in grades 8 – 12. The bus will leave school at 2:15 PM and will be free of charge. Students riding the fan bus must ride both ways and must have a permission note from a parent giving them permission to do so. We currently have about 20 spots available and they will be filled on a first come – first served basis. See Mr. Campagna if you are interested.

Don’t wit until the last minute as you will not be able to participate in the tryout sessions if we are unable to process your registration and clear you for play.

Your boys varsity basketball team advanced to the MIAA regional championship game thanks to their 65 – 55 come from behind win over Wahconah Regional last night. Aaron Williams anchored the blocks as the senior forward had 24 points to go with his strong board play. Souleymane Diaby, back from an injury, had 19 points in a torrid second half of play to contribute to the team effort. Tre Hodge and Ja’Quan Johnson added 9 and 8 points respectively, while Jamal Jackson ably handled the point off the bench throughout the final three quarters.
The guys play for the Western Mass championship on Saturday at 4:00 PM at UMass. Tickets will remain at $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students. We had a good crowd there last night. Let’s get even more Bulldog fans in the stands for the championship game!
Your girls varsity basketball team was eliminated from MIAA tournament play after they dropped their game at Hoosac Valley on Friday. Paris Lizana led the offensive charge with 15 points and Safaire Bryant added 12. Great season girls!
Tonight your guys play in the semi-final game of the MIAA Regional Tournament at UMass Amherst. The game tips at 6:30 PM. We do have a limited number of seats on the student fan bus still available. Bus leaves at 5:00 PM sharp and is a two-way trip. Please bring a permission slip to Mr. Campagna during Student Life period if you are interested in taking the bus. Tickets for tonight are $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students and may be purchased at the door. Let’s get a large crowd up at UMass tonight!
Aaron Williams had 34 points and Tre Hodge added 25 as your boys varsity basketball team scored a 90- 65 win over Murdock last night. The guys advance to the semi-final round of the MIAA regional tournament. The game was tied after the first quarter, but the guys used a pressuring defense, excellent work on the boards and a fast paced offensive effort to pull away and gain the impressive win. Ki-sean Johnson controlled the offensive boards and added 10 points on the night. The guys will now play at UMass early next week at a day and time that has not yet been announced.
Tonight it’s the girls time to try and advance to UMass as they travel to Hoosac Valley for a 7:00 PM contest. Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.
