Congratulations to your boys’ varsity volleyball team as they improved their record to 3 wins and no losses on Friday with a sweep over Sci-Tech.  Austin Benoit, David Marsh, Ki’Sean Johnson and Aaron Williams each played well in the win.  Tre Hodge won the one mile and the 800 meter races on Friday, but the boys’ track team fell to Commerce.  Nick Audette took home top honors in the two-mile event and Jamahl Campbell took home top honors in the triple jump while qualifying for the MIAA Western Mass meet.  Today your varsity volleyball team is at home – looking to make it four in a row, your varsity softball team is on the road against Pop Francis High and the boys tennis team is at Central.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Congratulations to your varsity volleyball team as they made it two wins in a row defeating Southwick by a 3 – 1 score.  Once again Austin Benoit was solid with 20 assists, 15 digs and 5 aces on the afternoon.  Kawuane Jackson, Ki-Sean Johnson and Aaron Williams each earned praise from the coaches on their fine performances.  Both the girls and boys track teams fell to West Springfield in opening season meets.  Tatianna Skarzynski took home top overall honors in both the 100 meter dash and the high jump.  Individual winners included Kailey elmasion, Eliza Mullin, Remani Lizana and Franchesca Diaz.  The boys tennis team dropped a 3 – 2 heartbreaker to Holyoke high as 7th grader Matthew Wraga swept the match at second singles and Chris Gonzalez and Matthew Elmasian took home the win at first doubles.  The boys get right back at it this afternoon if the weather cooperates with a match against PVCS.  Good luck to all our spring teams!  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

The spring athletic season finally begins today as your volleyball teams will travel to Holyoke High for games beginning at 4:00 PM.  Your girls’ tennis team will also open their season on the road against Northampton High.  On Wednesday the volleyball teams get right back at it as they will travel to Southwick High.  Other outdoor teams are waiting to see how the weather develops this week.  Good luck to all our spring teams!  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Lashae Jackson took home top honors in both the 100 meter and the 400 meter hurdles and Tatianna Skarzynski,  Alizaya Clark and An’janae Washington swept in the 100 , 200  and 400 meter dash events as the girls varsity track and field team took a one-sided win over Commerce on Friday.  Sarah Ledoux won both the mile and the two mile and the girls actually took home first place in every event.  Good job girls!  Today your volleyball teams will travel to Holyoke for games beginning at 4:00 PM, while the baseball and softball teams will each entertain Southwick if the weather permits.  We also have girls tennis scheduled today against Chicopee High. Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Congratulations to your boys’ tennis team as they improved their season record to 5 wins and just 1 loss with a sweep over Sci-Tech.  Anh Nguyen, Nathan Reed and Roberto Falvo swept at singles, while Michal Elmasian and Zach Thomas took home the doubles honors.  Your boys varsity baseball team defeated Ware yesterday by a 6 – 5 score.  Shane Audet picked up the win on the hill as he had a 13 strikeout performance.  Kyle Pingree and Nick Thibodeau had three hits apiece to lead the offensive charge.  Your girls’ varsity softball team fell to Central by a 9-0 score.  Kayla Brown, Jada Ficarra and Lela Ficarra had hits for the girls.  The JV softball team lost as well.  Today we have the baseball teams at home against Hampshire Regional, the volleyball teams here against Putnam, the girls tennis team travelling to Ludlow and the softball teams getting up to Smith Academy.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

The varsity baseball game and the girls’ tennis match were each postponed yesterday due to the weather.  Congratulations to your boys volleyballs teams as they each recorded wins over Belchertown yesterday.  The varsity had an exciting 3-1 win as Austin Benoit (31 assists and 23 digs) and Nathan Johnson (13 digs and 15 kills) paced your Bulldogs.  Xavier Hines-Coombs, Otto Pellegrino and Colin Fairman also played well in the match.  The JV took a 2-1 win as Dante Bolden and Esias Valentin were solid throughout.  Today your jv and varsity softball teams get over to Central, the baseball teams will entertain Ware and the boys’ tennis team takes on Sci-Tech at Forest Park.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Olivia Hatten took home the honors at third singles, but your girls tennis team dropped a 4-1 match to Agawam.  The varsity softball team lost to McCann in their home opener by an 8 – 3 score.  Aemilia Rivera had two hits in the loss.  The JV softball team also lost to McCann.  Today the varsity softball team travels to Pope Francis High School and the boys baseball teams entertain St. Mary’s high and the boys tennis team entertains Central.  Finally, it’s a big day for volleyball as the guys host Ware.  All home events begin at 4:00 PM.  Good luck to all!  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Spring Season Tryouts

Spring Season Tryouts

Tryouts are scheduled as follows:

Tennis:  Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis will be held at Forest Park from 3 – 5 pm. While we will provide transportation to and from the Park on Monday, March 21st, students must arrange their own transportation on a regular basis.

Track and Field:  Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field will be held outside on school grounds from 3 – 5 pm  Once the teams have been selected some practices will be held on school grounds immediately after school and some practices will be held at AIC beginning at 5:30 PM.  On AIC practice days, student must leave campus and arrange their own transportation to AIC.

Volleyball:  Boys’ Volleyball tryouts will be held from 3 – 5 pm in the main gym at school.  On an ongoing basis, the varsity will practice most days from 3 – 5 pm and the junior varsity will practice from 5 – 7 PM.

Baseball / Softball:  Tryouts will be held on the athletic fields from 3 – 5:30 PM.  Once the teams have been selected, the coaches will distribute a practice schedule.  Most practices will be held immediately after school; however some regular practices may be scheduled on a weekend day.

Nathan Colon had a triple double last night as the boys varsity basketball team defeated Belchertown by a score of 76 – 46.  Colon had 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the guys to their win.  Justin Rennis had a double double as well.  Aaron Williams went off for 31 points and 12 boards as the JV guys took the preliminary game by a 61 – 49 score.  Kisean Johnson had a double double in the win as well.  Tonight, it’s the girls jv and varsity entertaining Belchertown and tomorrow it’s the Western Mass tournament for your wrestling team.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Tianna Scott had a double double, but your girls varsity basketball team fell to Chicopee Comp on Tuesday.  Last night it was the boys who lost a heartbreaker to Comp despite 20 points and 15 rebounds from Justin Rennis.  Christian Garcia-Nieves earned his 100th career win last night as the wrestling team took a league win over Hampshire Regional on Senior night.  Tonight your boys jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Belchertown and the girls freshmen team gets over to Chicopee.  Tomorrow, it’s the girls jv and varsity entertaining Belchertown.   Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Remani Lizana had 10 points and 11 rebounds and An’janae Washington added 11 points, but your girls varsity basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to Chicopee on Friday by a score of   33 – 32.  Xavier Hines-Coombs earned the 100th and 101st wins of his varsity wrestling career on Saturday at Frontier.  Congratulations to Xavier!  Tuesday your girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Chicopee Comp for games beginning at 5:30 PM.  The girls freshmen team will entertain Comp in the main gym with tip at 4:00 PM.  Wednesday is senior night for the wrestlers as they entertain Hampshire Regional.  Christian Garcia-Nieves needs just one win to earn his 100th win of his career.  And your boys’ varsity basketball team will travel to Comp for yesterday’s make-up game while they try to keep their hold on first place in the Suburban league standings.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Pins by Christian Revas and Kolby Smith gave the varsity wrestling team a 42 – 41 win over Southwick last night.  Sydney Boarders had 21 points and the girls freshmen basketball team earned a hard fought 36 – 23 win over Mohawk Trail Regional High School.  Tonight the guys basketball teams are here against South Hadley and tomorrow, the girls jv and varsity get over to Chicopee High, while the freshmen team is here at 4:00 PM.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

The boys varsity basketball team dropped a close game on the road yesterday to Agawam by a score of 49 – 39.  Jahleel Gabriel led all Bulldog scorers with 10 points.  Your boys freshmen basketball team staged a torrid fourth quarter as they defeated Agawam by a score of 49 – 37.  Donte Bolden had 20 points in the win.  Today your girls jv and varsity get up to Amherst and tomorrow your girls freshmen have the main gym game at 4:00 PM and the wrestlers travel to Southwick.  On Thursday, the guys basketball teams are here against South Hadley and on Friday, the girls get over to Chicopee High.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Kyle Pingree was solid on the mound and Xavier Vegerano continued his hot hitting ways as your varsity baseball team beat Mt. Everett by a score of 4-1.  The jv baseball team fell to Mt. Everett despite solid play from Dariel Sanatgan and Lorenzo Lugo.  Your varsity softball team lost to Monson on the road on Friday.  Kianna Dunkelly and Sara Brown provided the offensive punch.  Your jv softball team lost by Mercy Rule.  Firday also saw the varsity volleyball team drop a 3-1 match to Sci-Tech.  Colin Fairman had 24 assists, while Ryan Robbins had 20 digs in the losing effort.  The jv volleyball team, led by Esias Valentine and Ray Caquias who got things going early, defeated Sci-Tech in the preliminary match,.  Joe Torres, Toren Hill and Austin Benoit were solid in the win.  Today we have the girls tennis team travelling to Cathedral and both baseball teams getting over to Hampshire Regional.  The varsity softball team will be here against Holyoke Catholic in a league game beginning at 4:00 PM.  Tomorrow we have varsity volleyball over at Dean Tech and the boys tennis team entertaining St. Mary High at Forest Park.  Make plans to attend one of these contests.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Congratulations to your boys volleyball teams as both the jv and the varsity swept their games to earn the won over Ware yesterday.  JeQuan Rogers and paced your Bulldogs.  Your varsity softball team made it two wins in two days as they defeated Smith Academy by a score of 10 – 5.  Jada Ficarra pitched the complete game win and she was solid throughout.  Stefania Falvo, Linsey Fontaine and Kori Megit led the offensive charge.  Your girls tennis team lost to Chicopee yesterday by a 5-0 score.  Today if the weather permits we have the baseball teams travelling to Gateway and the softball teams entertaining Ware.  The girls track team is at Central taking on Putnam and the boys tennis team is at home at Forest Park.  Make plans to attend one of these contests.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Aemelia Rivera had 4 hits and Kayla Brown had a grand slam home run and 9 runs batted in the lead the varsity softball team to a one-sided win over Westfield Voke yesterday.  Your varsity baseball team dropped a 6-3 road game to Mt. Everett despite 3 hits by Shayne Audet.  Griffin Spear and Nick Thibodeau chipped in on offense and Guilmond Torres gave a solid outing on the mound.  Your boys varsity tennis team fell to Chicopee Comp by a 4-1 score.  Nathan Reed was impressive to earn the win at first singles.  Both the jv and varsity volleyball teams were swept by Westfield at home.  Your varsity showed some strong net play, but that wasn’t enough to take the match.  Today we have the softball and the volleyball teams here at school and the girls tennis team gets over to Chicopee High for a 4:00 PM match.  Tomorrow the baseball teams travel to Gateway and the softball teams have had their games against Ware moved to here.  The girls track team is at Central taking on Putnam and the boys tennis team is at home at Forest Park.  Make plans to attend one of these contests.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.
