James Gonzalez and Gabriel Perez scored the goals, while the defensive effort from Shayne and Sylvain Audet, along with Nathan Velois and Jovan Wallace propelled the boys’ varsity soccer team to a 2 – 0 win over Hopkins on senior day yesterday afternoon.  The guys ended their season with a 7 – 10 – 1 record and just missed an invitation to the MIAA tournament.  The jv guys also earned a shutout win over Hopkins.  Christopher Harris and Elijah Nixon had two goals apiece in the win.  Today the volleyball match ups for the MIAA tournament will be released and tomorrow we will know the match ups for the girls soccer tournament.  Later this week the boys and girls cross country teams will enter the City Championships on Friday and the PVIAC meet on Saturday.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

In one of the most exciting volleyball matches in our school’s history, your girls varsity volleyball team downed Easthampton on senior night by a 3 – 1 score to earn a spot in the MIAA post season tournament.  It was a full team effort as Angie Gonzalez, Julia Guilbert, Markina Ako-Brew, Remani Lizana and a host of others gave outstanding performances to ensure the league win and the tournament invitation.  Congratulations to all for a job well done!  The jv girls lost in the preliminary match by a 2 – 1 score despite solid play from Brianna Martinez, Lauren Hunter, Nia Major and Vanessa Williams.   Today the boys’ soccer teams close out their regular season with their own senior day games against Hopkins Academy.  Finally, tomorrow the girls soccer teams have their senior day festivities with games at 11:00 AM against Southwick.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Avalon Mateo continued her torrid streak of goal scoring as your girls varsity soccer team earned a 1 – 0 win over Chicopee High yesterday and qualified for the MIAA Western Mass tournament.  Kayla Brown recorded the shutout in the goal, while Franchesca Diaz was solid at the defender position. Tiffany Alban netted the assist for the girls who scored in the first half and then held on for the victory. An’Janae Washington took home top honors as your girls cross country team defeated Chicopee High in an exciting 28 – 29 race yesterday.  Washington was joined by Tanialyz Almenas (2nd overall), Eliza Mullin (6th) and Sara Miranda (7th overall with her personal best) to round out the top ten finishers.  The boys cross country team was shorthanded yesterday and they lost to Chicopee.  Nathan Colon finished second overall, while Jacob Evans was 8th for the guys.  Avalon Mateo had a goal and two assists as the girls varsity soccer team inched closer to an MIAA tournament invitation with a 4 – 3 win over Hampshire Regional last night.  Kayla Brown had 19 saves in the nets.  Tatiana Skarzynski, Frankie Diaz and Kailey Elmasion also recorded goals for the girls.  The jv soccer team fell 1 – 0 in the preliminary game.  The girls varsity volleyball team dropped their match to Ludlow in straight sets.  Remani Lizana and Markina Ako-Brew played well in the loss.  The jv girls fell 2 – 1 in the preliminary match.  Vanessa Williams and LeAudra Hayes-Phillips were solid in the loss.  Finally both the varsity and jv boys soccer teams lost to Lenox on the road yesterday.  Alex Williams scored the only goal for the guys.  There are no games scheduled today, while on Monday we will have the girls’ volleyball and the girls soccer teams each playing games here at school.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Your girls varsity soccer team was nearly flawless as they lost a 2 – 1 heartbreaker to Monson High School yesterday.  Avalon Mateo scored the lone Bulldog goal and Kayla Brown and Cheyenne Daniels were outstanding in the nets.  Monson scored the game winner with just 7 minutes left in the game.  Your jv girls dropped a 1 – 0 game to Monson as well.  Bailey Barlow, Amanda Odom and Amani Smith paced the girls on the afternoon. Your boys varsity soccer team shutout Hampshire Regional for the first 40 minutes of play, but the Bulldogs surrendered three second half goals to drop a 3 – 0 contest yesterday afternoon.  The jv boys’ soccer team dropped their first game of the season with a 1 – 0 loss to Hampshire Regional.  The girls varsity volleyball team jumped out to a first set lead, but the girls fell to South Hadley by a score of 3 – 1.  The jv team, thanks in large part to the play of Nia Major, Tylesia Cooper, and Jaida Bednaz, earned a hard fought 2 – 1 win in the preliminary match.  The varsity golf team lost a one-sided match to Southwick.  Michael Bushey recorded the low score of the day for the Bulldogs.  Today we have the girls’ soccer teams here against Monson High beginning at 4:00 PM and the golf team travelling to Mahar Regional for a 3:00 PM match.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Markina Ako-Brew played an inspirational final set as your girls’ varsity volleyball team earned a 3 – 2 win over Turners Falls last night and inched closer to a tournament invitation.  Ako-Brew, Mykaela DeBrito, Remani Lizana and Julia Guilbert were solid in the win.  The jv lost a close 2 – 1 match in the preliminary.  Brianna Martinez played well all around.  Your girls’ cross country team split their competitions yesterday as they defeated Franklin Tech and lost to Mohawk Trail.  Your girls placed four girls in the top ten led by An’janae Washington (4th), Tanialyz Almenas (5th), Eliza Mullin (7th) and Sara Miranda (8th).  Your boys picked up wins over Franklin Tech and Hopkins and they lost to Mohawk.  Nick Audette, Amadi Pendleton and Stephan Heathman each finished in the top 10 overall.  Your golf team dropped a close match to Pathfinder.  Austin Benoit recorded the low score of the day for your Bulldogs.  The girls’ varsity soccer team dropped a 4 – 2 game at Palmer, while the jv team took a 5 – 3 win in the preliminary game.  Aniyah Forbes (3 goals) and Ajianni Blackman (2 goals) accounted for all the scoring.  Today it’s both the boys’ soccer teams and the girls volleyball teams here at home, while the golf team holds their final home match of the season at Veterans.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

An’janae Washington won her 6th consecutive race this season, but your girls cross country team dropped their meet at Belchertown yesterday.  Tanialyz Alemenas (4th overall) and Brianna Alvarado (9th overall) took home top 10 finishes.  Your boys’ cross country team split their tri-meet defeating Westfield Voke and taking the loss against Belchertown.  Nick Audette and Amadi Pendleton finished 1-2 for the guys.  The girls varsity volleyball team was swept by Lenox yesterday, while the jv girls dropped a 2-1 match in the opener.  Lauren Hunter and Tylesia Cooper paced the offense, while Angelica Colon and Vanessa Williams led the defense.  Your boys’ varsity soccer team fell 4 – 0 to Southwick despite some solid overall play by Jovan Wallace, Steven McKenzie, Medhi Akram and Sylvain Audet. Your girls’ varsity volleyball team improved to 6 wins and just 4 losses with their 3 – 1 win over Holyoke High yesterday.  Julia Guilbert, Hannah Brooks, Mykaela DeBrito and Markina Ako-Brew led the charge for the Lady Bulldogs.  The jv girls lost in the preliminary match.  Your boiys varsity soccer team improved their record to 3 wins and 5 losses on the season with their one-sided win over St. Joseph high School from Pittsfield.  Medhi Akram had two goals for the guys, while Sylvain Audet had a goal and two assists in the win.  The jv guys kept their undefeated season alive with a 5 – 3 win over Putnam.  Goals were scored by Elijah Nixon, Brandon Rusinque, Alan Williams, Tre Hodge and Chris Fagan.  Today the boys soccer teams travel to South Hadley, the girls soccer teams entertain Lee High School, the cross country teams are at Forest Park, the volleyball teams get over to Easthampton and the golf team travels to Granby.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Your boys varsity soccer team had some excellent defensive periods of play yesterday, but they fell to Palmer by a 4 – 0 score.  The jv boys soccer kept their undefeated season alive with a 5 – 2 win over Palmer.  Christopher Harris had two goals and Tre Hodge, Elijah Nixon and Alan Williams scored a goal apiece in the win.  Your girls varsity volleyball team lost a tough league match to Belchertown yesterday by a score of 3 – 1.  Mykaela DeBrito had 18 assists to pace the girls.  Your varsity golf team also took a loss yesterday as they fell to Mahar Regional.  Michael Bushey won at the number one spot and Colin Fairman held down the win at the number four.  Others scoring points for your Bulldogs included Austin Benoit and Jaelyn DeBoise.  Today it’s your girls’ soccer teams getting up to Holyoke for games at 5 and 7 pm and the golf team entertaining Hopkins Academy at Veterans early this afternoon.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.
