Nathan Colon had 21 points as your boys’ varsity basketball team earned a 69 – 35 league win over Chicopee Comp on Friday.  Aaron Williams, Justin Rennis and Cameron Rodriguez each had double figured scoring in the Bulldogs’ balanced attack.  The boys’ jv team let a close game get away from them in the final frame as they fell to Comp by a 59 – 45 score.  Soulemayne Diaby had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the way. The boys’ freshmen team took a 45 – 34 win on the road at Comp.  Jarel Green, Jason Daniels and Paul Roberts led the balanced offensive effort. Your girls’ varsity basketball team dropped their game at Lee High by a 72 – 53 score.  An’janae Washington and Paris Lizana each recorded double figured scoring.  Finally, the jv girls took a 28 – 24 win over Lee in the preliminary game.  Tylesia Coooper had 11 points to pace the girls attack.  Today it’s girls jv and varsity teams entertaining Chicopee Comp with the opening tip at 5:30 PM and the girls freshmen team getting over to Comp earlier in the afternoon.  Tomorrow your boys get right back at it with a home game against Belchertown.  Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Paris Lizana had 21 points last night and An’janae Washington added 11, but the girls varsity basketball team couldn’t hold on as they fell to Chicopee by a score of 51 – 48.  The jv girls dropped the preliminary game despite another solid effort from Tyleisia Cooper, while the freshmen lost a 34 – 31 game at Comp.  Bailey Barlow had 16 points and 10 steals to lead the girls.  Today your boys basketball teams are scheduled to play Chicopee Comp with the jv and varsity here at school and the freshmen on the road, while the girls JV and varsity travel out to Lee High School.   Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans! 

Conditioning will be held tomorrow for any boys interested in baseball from 9:00 AM until 10:45 and for girls interested in softball from 10:15 until noon.

Nathan Colon had 20 points and Justin Rennis and Aaron Williams added 16 apiece as the boys’ varsity basketball team scored a 66 -57 win over South Hadley last night.  The win improves the guys’ record to 11 – 3 on the year.  Your JV guys lost a 54 – 51 heartbreaker in the preliminary game.  Soulemayne Diaby had 23 points and 12 boards to pace the guys.  Gabriel Perez had 15 points and Jared Denson added 9 as your boys freshmen basketball team closed an 18 point deficit in the final frame to take a 44 – 43 win over Ludlow in an afternoon game.  Finally, it was senior night for the wrestlers and although they dropped the team contest, seniors Taariq Woods and Kyle Pingree each recorded wins in their final home matches of their high school careers.  Nicely done, guys!  Today we have all three girls basketball teams matching up with Chicopee High and tomorrow your boys teams are scheduled to play Chicopee Comp, while the girls JV and varsity travel out to Lee High School.   Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

It was a sweep for your Bulldog athletic teams yesterday as the girls’ varsity basketball team took home a 50 – 38 win over Amherst last night.  An’janae Washington went off for 23 points and Safaire Bryant added 6 points and 7 rebounds to pace the girls to the league victory.  Tylesia Cooper had 16 points and 12 rebounds in the preliminary game as the girls’ JV team also took a win over Amherst.  Tatianna Skarzynski had 8 points and 9 boards in a supporting role.  Finally it was the boys’ freshmen basketball team on the road at Somers High School.  The guys took a 53 – 39 win with Paul Roberts going off for 11 points and Kevin West adding 9.  Tonight we have the boys basketball teams getting out to South Hadley in an important league game and tomorrow – it’s senior night for the wrestlers here beginning right before 7 pm and the boys freshmen basketball team will travel to Ludlow for a 3:30 PM contest.  On Thursday we have all three girls basketball teams matching up with Chicopee High and on Friday your boys teams are scheduled to play Chicopee Comp, while the girls JV and freshmen travel out to Lee High School.   Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Your girls basketball teams dropped all three games to Chicopee Comp yesterday with the varsity on the short end of a 54 – 31 game.  Remani Lizana had 10 points and 8 boards to lead the effort.  The JV lost in the preliminary, but Tylesia Cooper had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the losing effort.  Finally it was your girls’ freshmen team who dropped the afternoon game here at school.  Bailey Barlow was solid all-around.  Today it’s the guys varsity basketball team trying to get back on the winning track as both the jv and varsity entertain Agawam with games beginning at 5:30 PM and the freshmen travel to Agawam for a 4:00 PM tip.  Tomorrow your wrestlers are at Chicopee Comp.  Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

It was a down day for Bulldog athletics as the girls varsity basketball team dropped a road game to Lenox High School last night by a score of 56 – 47.  Paris Lizana had career-high16 points for the Lady Dogs.  The jv girls dropped the preliminary game by a 35 – 22 score despite another solid effort from Tylesia Cooper who had 9 points and 12 rebounds on the night. The boys freshmen basketball team fell to Tantasqua by a score of 46 – 41.  Jason Daniels had 12 points in the losing effort.  The wrestlers dropped their league match at Hamdpen Charter School of Science.  Christian Rivas and Jason Alves continued their individual winning ways. We have no information about the girls’ freshmen game.   Today’s it’s your girls’ freshmen basketball team here at 4:00 PM against Chicopee Comp and the girls’ jv and varsity on the road at Comp with games beginning at 5:30 PM.  Tomorrow it’s the guys trying to get on the winning track as the jv and varsity entertain Agawam and the freshmen travel there as well.  On Saturday your wrestlers are at Chicopee Comp.  Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Congratulations to your boys’ varsity basketball team as they moved to within one win of earning a trip to the MIAA postseason tournament.  The guys beat Longmeadow High on the road by a score of 70 – 55.  Aaron Williams had 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the way, while Justin Rennis had 17 points and 11 boards and Jaren Suttles had 11 points and 4 steals to provide a spark off the bench.  The jv boys’ lost in the preliminary game despite 19 points from Soulemayne Diaby.  Your girls varsity also took home a road win with a 45 – 20 win over Murdock High School.  An’janae Washington and Remani Lizana had 9 points apiece, while Paris Lizana added 8 points.  The jv girls also earned a win at Murdock.  Tylesia Cooper had 10 points and 13 rebounds to lead the girls.  Both the boys and girls freshmen teams lost in afternoon games.  Paul Roberts paced the boys, while Kinley Orr-Westbrook paced the girls offensive output.  Today it’s your girls jv and varsity basketball teams travelling to West Springfield and tomorrow the wrestling team travels to Mount Everett.  Let’s get out and fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

Jaeden Herd, on loan from the junior varsity basketball team, had 10 points, but the boys’ freshmen team dropped a one-sided game to Central here yesterday afternoon.  Paul Roberts had 6 points in the losing effort.  The girls’ jv and varsity games, scheduled for yesterday in the Berkshires, were postponed due to the icy weather.  Today we have our first home wrestling event of the season as we host Southwick in an important league match.  Let’s get here early and fill the stands with Bulldog fans! 

Tomorrow it’s the boys’ basketball teams travelling to Longmeadow for a battle of two top teams in the Suburban League and the girls’ varsity and jv travelling to Murdock Junior Senior High School for games beginning at 5:30 PM.  We also have the girls’ freshmen team travelling to Chicopee Comp and the boys’ freshmen basketball team entertaining Longmeadow here at 4:00 PM.

Congratulations to your boys freshmen basketball team on their 56 – 46 win over Chicopee Comp yesterday.  Paul Roberts led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Gabe Perez added 15 points in a wire-to-wire win.  Your boys varsity basketball team kept their hot streak going as they took  a 57 – 43 win over Comp last night.  Nathan Colon had 15 points and Aaron Williams added 14 points and 12 boards in the win.  Tre Hodge and Justin Rennis added 9  points apiece.  Your jv guys in overtime by a 71 – 69 score.  Jonathan Ortiz had 29 points and Souleymane Diaby added 21 in a very exciting game.  Today we have a freshmen double header with the boys opening things at 3:30 PM against Baystate Charter School and the girls entertaining East Longmeadow at 5:00 PM.  Today the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to East Longmeadow High and the guys get over to Belchertown for games beginning at 5:30 PM.  Finally tomorrow your wrestling team gets out to Gateway for a 7:00 PM varsity match.

A limited number of tickets remain on sale for the boys’ basketball game at Hoophall on Thursday of this week.  Tickets are $10.00 at the door, but are available here at school for just $6.00.  We will sell out.  See Mr. Campagna if you want to purchase any tickets.

Open gym for students interested in baseball or softball will be held this Saturday.  The boys will go from 9 – 10:45 AM and the girls from 10:15 until noon.

Congratulations to the girls freshmen basketball team on their win over Pioneer Valley Regional High School.  Kinley Westbrook-Orr and Maddie Wyszynski had 8 points apiece to lead the offensive charge and Bailey Barlow was solid all around with 7 points and 5 steals.  An’janae Washington had 18 points, including 5 three point hoops, but the girls varsity fell to Holyoke High by a score of 68 – 40.  Remani Lizana had 11 points.   Finally it was your girls jv basketball team falling in the preliminary game at Holyoke despite a double double from Tyleshia Cooper who had 12 points and 14 rebounds.  Tonight the wrestling team travels to Hampshire Regional for a league match and on Thursday the boys jv and varsity are here against South Hadley.

Both your boys and girls varsity basketball teams took home winos over the holiday vacation as the boys downed Hoosac Valley late last week as Nathan Colon had 26 points and Justin Rennis added 18 points and 11 rebounds to take the come from behind 72 – 63 win.  The girls held on for an exciting 47 – 45 win over Ludlow earlier in the week as Remani Lizana and Franchesca Diaz lead the way offensively.  Christian Rivas took home second place overall in the Knight Hawk Wrestling tournament held in Holyoke last week.  Today we have the girls freshmen here at school in the main gym at 4:00 PM, while the girls jv and varsity travel to Holyoke for games beginning at 5:30 PM.  Tomorrow the wrestling team travels to Hampshire Regional for a league match and on Thursday the boys jv and varsity are here against South Hadley.

Nathan Colon made his senior year debut last night and he didn’t disappoint as the senior guard knocked down four three balls leading your boys varsity basketball team to a 72 – 44 win over Monson here at home.  Aaron Williams added 20 points and 12 rebounds and Justin Rennis went off for 12 and 17 to pace the guys to their independent win and improve their record to 3 wins and just 1 loss.  Jaeden Herd had 19 points and 15 boards and James Gonzalez chipped in with 10 points as the boys jv basketball team took a 57 – 30 win in the preliminary game.  Today we have the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travelling to Agawam and on Friday we have the girls freshmen basketball team travelling to East Longmeadow to round out a shortened holiday week of games..  Good luck to all.  See here Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Congratulations to your varsity wrestling team as they opened their league season with a 39 – 30 win over Granby on the road.  Jack Spaulding, Jalen Rogers, Jason Alves and Jacob Dagenais each recorded pins in the win.  Christian Rivas had an impressive win by decision to help the team record their victory. Arianna Carmona and Kinsley Orr-Westbrook had 10 points apiece but the girls freshmen basketball team fell to Tantasqua yesterday here at home.  Your boys freshmen team opened the doubleheader as they also fell to Tantasqua by a score of 55 – 43.  The guys had a torrid fourth quarter comeback bid fall short despite 11 points by Gabriel Perez and 8 points and 6 boards from Jared Denson.  Kevin West was solid throughout.   Today the boys basketball teams get right back at it as the jv and varsity travel to Easthampton High and the boys freshmen team gets over to Central for a 4:00 PM tip. Aaron Williams had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the boys varsity basketball team to a 58 – 42 win over Quaboag Regional High School on the road last night.  Justin Rennis had 12 points, 6 blocks and 17 boards to round out the Bulldog dominance in the paint.  Jonathan Ortiz hit for 11 points and he had 17 rebounds as the jv guys beat Quaboag 56 – 29 in the preliminary contest.  Jaeden Herd chipped in with 11 points.  Today we have a freshmen doubleheader with the boys in the main gym at 4:00 PM and the girls in the back gym with a 5:00 PM tip. An’janae Washington lead a torrid final quarter comeback, but the girls varsity basketball team dropped a 45 – 43 heartbreaker to Mahar Regional High School here at school last night.  Washington had 24 points on the night and her solid defensive effort left the girls within a rimmed out final shot at the buizzer from sending the game in overtime.  Remani Lizana, Alyssa Padilla and Safaire Bryant played well for the girls.  The jv team also dropped their contest to Mahar despite Tyleisia Cooper’s 8 points and solid rebounding effort.  Amani Smith chipped in with 6 points in the loss.  Your freshman girls basketball team earned a very exciting 30 – 29 road win at Chicopee High yesterday as Bailey Barlow lead the scoring with 8 points.  Kinley Orr-Westbrook and Maddie Wyszynski had 6 points apiece in the win.  But it was a strong defensive effort by Lela Ficarra in the final seconds of the game that iced the win for the girls.  Today we have the boys’ jv and varsity teams travelling to Quaboag Regional and tomorrow we have a freshmen doubleheader and the wrestlers go on the road to Granby.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Justin Rennis had 22 points and 16 rebounds, but the boys’ varsity basketball team dropped their opening game to Groton- Dunstable by a score of 73 – 54.  Aaron Williams had 10 points in his varsity debut.  Your girls varsity basketball team defeated Pope Francis High on Friday with a  48 – 17 win.  Ta’keeyla Jackson had 8 points to lead the balanced offensive charge, and Alexia Williams, Paris Lizana, Frankie Dias, Remain Lizana and Safaire Bryant had 6 points apiece.  The jv girls also recorded a win as Amani Smith led all scorers with 12 points.  Tylesia Cooper and Tatianna Skarzynski had 4 points apiece.  Your wrestlers opened their season on the road at Danvers High School.  Today, if the weather permits, we have the girls jv and varsity basketball teams here beginning at 5:30 PM and the girls freshmen basketball team on the road at Chicopee in a 4:00 PM game.  Tomorrow the boys jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Quaboag Regional High School.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Attention all students – if you plan to try out for a winter season sport you must register now on the family ID website.  Please do not wait until the last moment to register as we may be unable to confirm medical clearance if you wait until the final week to register.  If we cannot obtain medical clearance you will not be able to attend a tryout session.  Tryouts for cheerleading will begin next Monday, while tryouts for wrestling and basketball will be held one week later beginning on November 28th

We will hold an open gym today for boys in grades 7 – 12 interested in basketball from 3 – 5 pm.  Open gym for girls in grades 7 – 12 interested in conditioning will also be held today from 5 – 7 pm.  Conditioning for wrestling will also meet today from 3 – 4:30 pm.  Later this week the boys basketball group in grades 7 – 12 will have conditioning on Thursday from 3 – 5 and the girls in grades 7 – 12 will have conditioning also on Thursday from 5 – 7 PM.  Open gym times for wrestling candidates will also be on Thursday from 3 – 4:30 PM.  These will be the final open gym times prior to the tryout sessions for the winter athletic seasons.

Emma Smith scored the game winner about six minutes into the overtime period and your girls varsity soccer team took a 2 – 1 win over Renaissance School on Friday to advance in the MIAA regional soccer tournament.  Smith scored off an assist from Avalon Mateo who also scored the game’s first goal.  Kayla Brown was solid in the nets and Franchesca Diaz anchored a successful defensive effort.  The girls get back at it today with a 2:00 PM contest at Granby High.  Congratulations to your girls cross country team for their repeat win in the All-City meet on Friday.  An’janae Washington earned the first place overall medal as she bettered her own course record by three seconds.  She was followed in the top ten overall by Tanialyz Almenas and Eliza Mullin.  At the PVIAC championship race on Saturday, An’janae once again led the girls as she finished 10th overall (out of 205 runners) and she shaved over 30 seconds off her previous best time at Stanley Park.  For the boys it was Stephan Heathman who finished 11th overall in the All-City race as he broke the 20 minute mark with a time of 19:45.  Over the weekend it was Stephan, Nick Audette and Amadi Pendleton who each turned in sub-20 minute times in the PVIAC championships.  Today the girls volleyball teams travel to Lee High School for the next round of play in their MIAA tournament and on Sunday both the boys and girls cross country teams are set to enter the MIAA championship race at Stanley Park in Westfield.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

Your girls varsity soccer team was nearly flawless as they lost a 2 – 1 heartbreaker to Monson High School yesterday.  Avalon Mateo scored the lone Bulldog goal and Kayla Brown and Cheyenne Daniels were outstanding in the nets.  Monson scored the game winner with just 7 minutes left in the game.  Your jv girls dropped a 1 – 0 game to Monson as well.  Bailey Barlow, Amanda Odom and Amani Smith paced the girls on the afternoon. Your golf team lost a one-sided match to Mahar.  Austin Benoit posted the low score on the afternoon for the team.  Today the girls volleyball teams travel to Chicopee as they try and earn their invitation to the MIAA post season tournament.   The jv match begins at 4:00 PM.  Tomorrow both the boys and girls soccer teams are in action as the boys travel to Athol and the girls get out to Taconic High School.  Good luck to all.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.

 Attention all students.  The winter athletic season is just around the corner and information sessions for all winter sport teams will be held as follows:  Cheerleading – October 20th, Wrestling on October 24th, boys’ basketball on October 26th and girls basketball on October 27th.  All meetings will be held during your Student Life period.  The exact locations will be announced as it gets closer.

Tianna Scott had a double double, but your girls varsity basketball team fell to Chicopee Comp on Tuesday.  Last night it was the boys who lost a heartbreaker to Comp despite 20 points and 15 rebounds from Justin Rennis.  Christian Garcia-Nieves earned his 100th career win last night as the wrestling team took a league win over Hampshire Regional on Senior night.  Tonight your boys jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Belchertown and the girls freshmen team gets over to Chicopee.  Tomorrow, it’s the girls jv and varsity entertaining Belchertown.   Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!

 Believe it or not – Online registration for all spring sports began earlier this week on the family ID website.  There will be no in-person registration sessions. The season begins for all sports on Monday, March 21st.  You must have a valid physical exam on file with the nurse and register online in order to be eligible.  Otherwise, all students in grades 7 – 12 are eligible to participate.  Register early.  We will be offering teams for baseball, softball, boys volleyball, boys and girls tennis, and boys and girls track and field.  See Mr. Campagna if you have any questions.

Attention any boy in grades 7 – 12 who is interested in playing baseball this spring.  There will be an informational meeting today during Student Life period.  Please plan to come to the meeting during your own Student life period and meet the coaches and learn about important information.  Students in grades 9 – 12 the meeting is in room 103.  Students in grades 7 and 8 – your meeting is in room 218.

Preseason workouts for softball will continue this Saturday in the back gym from 12:30 – 2:30 PM.  Registration is not needed.  Just show up.

Remani Lizana had 10 points and 11 rebounds and An’janae Washington added 11 points, but your girls varsity basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to Chicopee on Friday by a score of   33 – 32.  Xavier Hines-Coombs earned the 100th and 101st wins of his varsity wrestling career on Saturday at Frontier.  Congratulations to Xavier!  Tuesday your girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Chicopee Comp for games beginning at 5:30 PM.  The girls freshmen team will entertain Comp in the main gym with tip at 4:00 PM.  Wednesday is senior night for the wrestlers as they entertain Hampshire Regional.  Christian Garcia-Nieves needs just one win to earn his 100th win of his career.  And your boys’ varsity basketball team will travel to Comp for yesterday’s make-up game while they try to keep their hold on first place in the Suburban league standings.  Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans!
