Safaire Bryant had 12 points, but your girls varsity basketball team dropped a league game at Amherst last night.  Sauna Charles led the scoring effort in the jv game, but the girls dropped the preliminary contest as well.
Today we have the boys jv and varsity basketball teams here against Chicopee Comp as they open their league schedule.  The jv game tips at 5:30 PM and the varsity at 7:00 PM.  The freshmen guys are on the road at Comp this afternoon.
Tomorrow has the wrestling team in action at Southwick and the girls freshman basketball team gets over to Minnechaug for a 4:00PM game.
Tickets are running out for Thursday’s Hoophall Classic at Springfield College.  Our boys varsity basketball team entertains Chicopee High in the 4:00 PM game.  Discount tickets for just $6.00 are available from Mr. Campagna.

Christian Rivas finished first overall as your wrestling team took home a 4th place finish in the 11 team field at the Taconic tournament on Saturday. Rivas won at the 120 pound class, while Christian Kelley, Xavier Reyes and Jalen Rogers took home second place finishes in a solid showing.
 
Your girls varsity basketball team dropped a 37 – 34 contest at Longmeadow High on Friday. Alicia Mitchell led the team in scoring and rebounding, while Safaire Bryant helped to nullify any rebounding advantage Longmeadow expected to have.
 
Alexa Davis led the way offensively, but the girls jv basketball team dropped the preliminary game at Longmeadow on Friday.
 
Kofi Agyei-Yeboah, Siare Barklow, Eric Bass and James Monts were solid for the boys indoor track team on Friday.
 
If you weren’t here at school on Thursday night, you missed one of the biggest basketball wins in school history as the boys varsity defeated Central by a 50 – 48 score in overtime. Aaron Williams had 25 points to lead the way.
 
Today the girls jv and varsity basketball teas travel to Amherst for games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM and tomorrow the boys are home against Chicopee Comp.

Davian Alban scored a huge pin at the 220 pound weight class to secure the league win for your varsity wrestling team last night.  Alban brought the crowd to their feet with his emotional solid win.
Today it’s all about basketball as the boys jv and varsity teams entertain Central here with games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.  We are expecting a sellout crowd.  So get here early to be sure you get a seat.
Tomorrow the boys freshmen travel to Central and the girls jv and varsity basketball teams get over to Longmeadow.  Also tomorrow we have the boys and girls track teams in a meet at Smith College and on Saturday the wrestlers are in action on the road in a multi-school event at Taconic High School in Pittsfield.

Your girls’ varsity basketball team dropped a competitive game at Chicopee High last night by a score of 45 – 36.  Safaire Bryant had 16 points in the loss.  The jv girls lost in the preliminary game despite a game high 9 points from Alexa Davis.  Finally your girls freshmen basketball team lost to Smith Voke here at school.  Talia Thomas had 10 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.
Tonight we have the wrestling team  here at home in a match against Hampshire Regional.  Things get going at 7:00 PM.
Tomorrow Central High School visits us as the boys’ basketball team hosts Central with a 5:30 jv game and a 7:00 PM tip for the varsity.  We are expecting a sellout crowd.  Please arrive early to be sure to get your seat.

Souleymane Diaby had 18 points and Aaron Williams added 12, but your boys varsity basketball team dropped an 85 – 67 road game at Sci-Tech last night. Your jv boys basketball team scored an exciting win over Sci-Tech in the preliminary game as Rob Scoville calmly sank four free throws in the final 90 seconds to ensure the win.  Kevin West, Alex Williams and Scoville were solid throughout to lead the guys to this impressive road win.  Your freshman boys team dropped their home game against Sci-Tech by a score of 56 – 39  Matt Considine had 14 points to lead your guys, while Kenneth Rogers and Christopher Baptiste chipped in with 7 points apiece.
Today we have the girls freshman basketball team entertaining Smith Voke here at 4:00 PM, while the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Chicopee for games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.
Tomorrow we have the wrestling team here with the first match set for 7:00 PM and on Thursday it’s the Central boys jv and varsity teams in our house for games beginning at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.

Congratulations to the wrestling team as they earned  4 wins against one loss on Saturday at Franklin Tech.  Jalen Rogers, Christian Rivas, Xavier Reyes, Evan Tran and Christian Kelly were undefeated on the day.
Talia Thomas had a double double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, but your girls freshmen basketball team dropped a competitive game at Pathfinder on Friday.  Sauna Charles and Alexa Davis were the leading scorers, but the girls jv basketball team dropped their contest at Agawam on Friday before the varsity game where Paris Lizana had a game high six points in a one-sided loss.
The boys indoor track team fared well at Smith College on Friday as Eric Bass, Antonio Rivera, James Monts, Jason Daniels and Elijah Nixon each finished first or second in their events.  The girls dropped their dual to East Longmeadow.
Today we have the boys freshmen basketball team entertaining Sci-Tech here at 4:00 PM.  The jv and varsity teams will play at Sci-Tech beginning with a 5:30 PM jv game.  Tuesday has the girls freshmen basketball team here for a 4:00 PM game and the girls jv and varsity teams getting over to Chicopee for games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.  On Wednesday we have the wrestlers here beginning at 7:00 PM.  Finally – on Thursday – Central is here for 5:30 and 7:00 PM boys basketball games.  We are expecting a sellout crowd.  Be here early to ensure a seat.

Your boys varsity basketball team dropped an 80 – 59 road contest last night at Holyoke High.  Aaron Williams had 18 points to lead the team, while Kisean Johnson added 14 in the loss.  Alex Williams, Dom Spradley and Rob Scoville led the way in the jv game as the guys managed to earn an exciting win over Holyoke in the preliminary game.  The boys freshmen basketball team lost a one-sided game against Holyoke High yesterday here in the main gym.  Jaylen Lovejoy had 12 points to lead the guys, while Matt Consedine added 11.
Today the girls freshman basketball team gets over to Pathfinder for a 3:30 PM game, while the jv and varsity girls teams travel to Agawam and the boys and girls track teams are in action up at Smith College.  Tomorrow it’s the wrestling team is in a multi-school event up at Franklin Tech.

Congratulations to your varsity wrestling team on their one-sided win over Gateway last night.
Today your boys freshmen basketball team entertains Holyoke here at 4:30 PM, while the jv and varsity teams travel to Holyoke for games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.
On Friday, it’s the girls freshman team traveling to Pathfinder for a 3:30 PM game and the jv and varsity teams get over to Agawam for games at 5:30 and 7:00PM.
Friday also sees your boys and girls indoor track teams up at Smith College for a 6:45 PM meet.  Over the weekend the wrestlers travel to Franklin Tech for a multi-school event on Saturday.
The boys varsity basketball team will be playing in the annual Hoophall Classic at Springfield College on Thursday, January 17th.  Tip is scheduled for 4:00 PM.  Tickets are available here at school for just $6.00.  They will cost $10.00 at the door.  We will sell these out early,  See Mr. Campagna if you’d like to purchase some tickets.

It was a busy vacation for your winter season athletic teams as your boys varsity basketball team earned wins over Commerce and Longmeadow. Aaron Williams had 22 points in the Longmeadow win, while Tre Hodge and Kisean Johnson added 12 and 11 points respectively.
 
The girls varsity basketball team improved their record to 6 wins against just one loss on the season with vacation wins over Paolo Friere and Hampshire Regional. Alicia Mitchell had 14 points – 12 in the 4th quarter – to lead the girls over Hampshire, while Safaire Bryant had 19 points and Mitchell had 10 in the Paolo Friere contest.
 
Your wrestling team earned a top five finish against teams from all divisions in Agawam’s Phil Tomkiel tournament. Christian Rivas and Jalen Rogers took home first place finishes in the event, while Xavier Reyes and Quintin Pellegrino finished 3rd and 4th overall respectively.
 
Today we have the varsity wrestling team here at home against Gateway Regional with things getting going at 7 pm. Tomorrow we have the boys jv and varsity basketball teams traveling to Holyoke, while the freshman team is here for a 4:30 PM contest. On Friday all three girls basketball teams are on the road and both track teams get back into action at Smith College. Let’s get out there and cheer our student athletes on to victory!

Aaron Williams had 24 points to lead all scorers, but it wasn’t quite enough as your boys varsity basketball team lost a thriller last night to Putnam by a score of 55 – 50.  The lead changed hands throughout the night, but in the end it was Bulldog turnovers that was their undoing.  Chris Kelly played a solid all-around game with 9 points and 6 steals. Tre Hodge added 6 points and 6 assists in the loss.
The jv guys dropped a tight game as well in the preliminary contest.  Your boys freshman lost on the road.  Matthew Considine had 19 points, while Jay’Len Lovejoy added 13.
Congratulations to your girls varsity  basketball team on their one-sided win at PVCA yesterday afternoon.  Safaire Bryant had 11 points to lead the balanced attack.
The girls freshmen basketball team lost by a score of 35 – 18 at South Hadley.  Talia Thomas had 4 points and 9 rebounds to lead a balanced attack.
Today the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to South Hadley for games that tip at 5:15 PM ,while the wrestling team will host Duggan Academy on Saturday morning.  Doors open at 9:00 AM.

Aaron Williams had a career night with 35  points last night as your boys varsity basketball team earned a one-sided win on the road at Mount Greylock  Williams led the team effort that saw Tre Hodge and Chris Kelly add 11 points apiece in the independent game win.  Sidney Borges, Kevin West and Tareeq Evans were solid in the preliminary game leading the junior varsity to the win.
Alicia Mitchell had 10 points and Safaire Bryant added 9, but your girls varsity basketball team couldn’t hold their early lead and lost a disappointing game at home to Belchertown last night..  In the preliminary game the girls could never get untracked offensively and they dropped their game as well.
Today the wrestling team travels to Granby High for a league match.
Tomorrow we have both freshmen basketball teams and the girls varsity basketball team on the road in early games, while the boys jv and varsity basketball teams will entertain Putnam here in the main gym.  The jv game tips at 5:30 PM and the varsity contest follows.  We are expecting a sell-out crowd.  So be here early if you want a seat.

Matt Considine and Johnas Wilborn had nine points apiece to lead your boys’ freshmen basketball team to a 51 – 34 win over South Hadley here yesterday.  The guys took an early lead and kept the defensive pressure up all game to earn the team oriented victory.
Today the gils jv and varsity basketball teams entertain Belchertown here with the jv game beginning at 5:30 PM while the boys jv and varsity travel to the Northern Berkshires for games beginning at 5:00 PM against Mount Greylock High School.  Tomorrow finds the wrestling team traveling to Granby High, while Thursday has the Putnam guys in the house to match up with our boys’ team.  The jv game tips at 5:30 PM. We are expecting a very big crowd here on Thursday.  Please arrive early if you want to get in.  We are expecting to have to close the doors once we are sold out.

Christian Rivas took home first place honors and was named the recipient of the most outstanding wrestler award at the Longmeadow High Early Bird Tournament held on Saturday.  Rivas and Jalen Rogers won first place in their respective weight classes, while Xavier Reyes finished fourth and Christian Fagan had a 6th place finish to celebrate a successful team day.
Your boys indoor track team earned their first win of the season with an indoor win over Putnam High.  Jason Daniels won the 55 meter sprint, Kofi Agyei-Yeboa took first in the 300 meter and Siare Barklow took home the top honors in the 600 meters.  Others scoring points for the Bulldogs were Elijah Nixon, Antonio Rivera, Luke Goodchild and James Monts.
Talia Thomas led the offensive effort with 8 points, but your girls freshman basketball team dropped a close contest at Athol on Friday.  Kayleanna Colon was solid in the loss.
Today we have the boys freshmen basketball team entertaining South Hadley here at 4 pm.  Tomorrow the girls jv and varsity basketball teams are home against Belchertown and the boys jv and varsity teams travel to Mount Greylock.  On Wednesday the wrestlers get over to Granby and on Thursday it’s the boys and girls freshmen on the road, the girls varsity basketball teams travel to PVCA and the boys will entertain Putnam here beginning at 5:30 PM.  Get here early on Thursday as we are expecting a big crowd.

Jalen Rogers earned his 100th career win last night but your varsity wrestling team dropped a 36 – 34 match to Mahar Regional last night.
Alicia Mitchell had 18 points and Safaire Bryant added 16 as your girls varsity basketball team took a 53 – 35 road win at Lee last night.  The girls pulled away in the 4th quarter to improve their season record to 2 wins and no losses.
Salimata Diaby had 10 points and your girls jv basketball team earned a 47 – 22 win over Lee in the preliminary game.  Alexa Davis had 9 points, while Janiah Carroll and Savanna Baldwin added 8 points apiece in the very balanced offensive effort.
Matt Consedine led the freshmen boys to a convincing road win at Commerce yesterday as the big freshman recorded a game high 18 points.  Isaiah Jones and Jalen Lovejoy had 12 and 11 points respectively.
Today your girls freshman basketball team opens their season with a 4:00 PM home game against Minnechaug.  On Friday the girls freshman team travels to Athol for a 4:00Pm game.

Your boys’ basketball teams swept South Hadley last night with one-sided wins at both the jv and varsity levels.  The jv guys closed out the first half on a huge run and they never looked back cruising to the win.  Noah Valentine, Dom Spradley and Alex Williams led the play for a convincing team win.  In the varsity game it was Aaron Williams who had 18 points and Souleymane Diaby added 15 as the guys improved their season record to 2 wins and no losses.
Tonight the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Lee and the boys freshman basketball team gets over to Commerce for a 4:00 pm tip.  Also the wrestlers try and keep their winning streak alive as they host Mahar Regional in a 7 pm match here in the main gym..  Jalen Rogers goes for career win number 100 tonight.

Your girls varsity basketball team opened their season with a road win last night as the girls defeated Turners Falls by a score of 62 – 28.  Sydney Barklow had 17 points to lead the girls, while Safaire Bryant and Alicia Mitchell added 14 points apiece.  Your jv girls also recorded a one-sided win over Turners with Alexa Davis leading the offensive output with 15 points.  Savanna Baldwin added 8 points and Maddie Wyszynski and Sauna Charles had 6 points apiece.
Tonight the boys jv and varsity basketball teams open their home seasons with games against South Hadley High School.  The jv game tips at 5:30 pm.  The Student Life Organization is planning a party type atmosphere with a DJ in the house and a whiteout planned.  White, long sleeved Bulldog athletic tee shirts will be for sale for just $15.00.

Congratulations to your boys’ varsity basketball team on their 70 – 56 win over Northampton on the road on Friday.  Souleymane Diaby had 22 points and Aaron Williams added 20 to lead the guys to their opening day victory.  The jv boys earned a one-sided win in the preliminary with Alex Williams, Sydney Borges and Rob Scoville each going for double figures offensively.  The freshman boys basketball team dropped their afternoon game despite a solid effort from Matt Consedine who had 17 points in the loss..
Your wrestling team swept their Saturday matches with three straight team wins.  Davian Alban, Evan Tran and Ryan O’Connor earned their first career varsity wins, while Xavier Reyes, Christian Rivas and Quintin Pellegrino went undefeated for the day.
Both the boys and girls indoor track teams opened their inaugural seasons up at Smith College on Friday.  Gabriela Harris finished second in the 55 meter dash and Vannessa Williams had a second place finish in the shot put.  For the guys Siare Barklow, Elijah Nixon and Kofi Abyei Yeboah each recorded second place finishes on the afternoon.
Today the girls varsity and jv basketball teams open their season on the road at Turners Falls and tomorrow the boys open their home season with games tipping at 5:30 PM against South Hadley.  The Student Life Organization is planning a party type atmosphere for Tuesday’s game.  A DJ will lead the music and the cheerleaders will be at both games.  Wear white to show support.  Tickets are $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults  Sabis staff are admitted free to all regular season home games.  Long sleeved white Bulldog athletic tee shirts will be available for sale for just $15.00 at the game!

Daily Announcement from 9/26

Your girls freshmen volleyball team dropped a close, exciting match to Tantasqua Regional High School yesterday by a score of 2 – 1.  Lanaya Greene and Ciera Rivera led the way, but it was a total team effort.  All outdoor games were postponed due to the weather.  Today we have the girls jv and varsity volleyball teams here beginning at 4:30 PM, while the freshmen volleyball team travels to Holyoke.  Tomorrow the boys jv soccer team entertains Putnam, while the girls soccer teams travel to Easthampton High.  Good luck to all our teams!
Don’t forget Homecoming this Saturday.  The action gets going at 9:00 AM and will continue with athletic events, food, booths and fun for all until 2:30 PM.  Come early and stay late.  There is no admission for the day!
Want to play a winter sport?  The online registration will open on the family ID website on Monday for boys and girls basketball, wrestling, cheerleading and new this year – indoor track and field.  Information meetings for each sport will begin next week.  We will provide the dates and times as it gets closer.

Congratulations to the boys’ basketball program as they swept three games from Agawam yesterday.  The varsity scored a come from behind win with a torrid fourth quarter of play to take the 66 – 56 win on the road.  Aaron Williams had 26 points, while Tre Hodge had 14 and Jaren Suttles added 11.  The jv guys had another solid win in the preliminary game as Taj Wheeler knocked down 18 points and Jalen Coates added 14.  Finally in the freshmen game here at school, it was Robert Scoville with 20 points and Darin Smith and Sandro Diaz with 14 and 11 respectively to give the guys a 79 – 43 win.  Today it’s the girls jv and varsity basketball teams getting up to Granby and the boys’ freshmen are here again against Tantasqua in a 4:00 PM home contest.   Later today we have seven wrestlers competing for the Division 3 state title in Eastern Mass and the cheerleading team travels to another invitational meet this weekend in preparation for the Western Mass championship the end of the month.  We have a number of home basketball games next week including senior nights for both the boys and girls teams.  Home games are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission at home games is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff is always admitted free to all regular season home games.

Congratulations to your boys’ varsity basketball team as they defeated South Hadley last night on the road by a score of 77 – 57.  The win ensures the guys of an invitation to the MIAA Western Mass tournament which begins late this month.  Tre Hodge (19), Aaron Williams (17), Jaren Suttles (16), Soulemayne Diaby (14) and Ki-Sean Johnson (8) highlighted a very balanced offensive effort.  The jv guys also took home the win in the preliminary game as Taj Wheeler had 15 points and Kevin West added 10 for the guys.  The girls varsity basketball team dropped their game at Palmer.  Paris Lizana had 13 points and Amani Smith added 9. The jv girls took home the win as Suana Charles had 9 points, Si’ana Washington and Tatianna Skarzynski had 8 apiece and Sydney Borders added 7 in the balanced attack.  No games are scheduled today, but tomorrow and Friday it’s the boys and girls basketball teams on the road and the boys freshmen team is here both afternoons.  This weekend we have seven wrestlers competing for the Division 3 state title in Eastern Mass.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission at home games is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff is always admitted free to all regular season home games.

Congratulations to your varsity wrestling team as they closed out their regular season with a decisive win over Minnechaug before a packed house on senior night on Tuesday. Jaren Suttles had 18 points and the boys varsity team played an excellent first three quarters of basketball while holding on in the final frame for a 63 – 60 win over Holyoke High on Friday night.  Tre Hodge added 13, while the guys gave a solid team defensive effort to improve their record to 4 – 9 on the season and keep their tournament hopes alive.  The jv guys lost in the preliminary game and the freshmen mounted a torrid comeback but fell short dropping a 10 point game on the road.  Darin Smith had 13 points to lead the guys.  Your wrestling team split their four matches over the weekend as Jalen Rogers, Khadir  Zachery, Christian Rivas and Jacob Dagenais went undefeated on the day.  Today it’s the boys basketball teams back at it with the jv and varsity travelling to West Springfield for an important league game, while the freshmen are here at 4:00 PM.  Tomorrow is senior night for the wrestlers as they host Minnechaug at 7:00 PM and the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Amherst for games beginning at 5:30 PM.  On Wednesday the girls freshmen are here at 4:00 PM and on Thursday it’s the guys hosting Minnechaug with the jv game tipping at 5:30 PM.  Let’s get some big crowds out there.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.  Admission is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff is admitted free to all regular season home games.

Your girls’ varsity basketball team dropped a close contest to Palmer here on Friday.  Paris Lizana had 15 points to lead the girls offensively and Genevieve Wellington was solid defensively in the loss.  Your junior varsity girls took the second game of the triple header by a 33 – 22 score.  Tatianna Skarzynski had 10 points to pace the girls, while MaddieWyzynski chipped in with 7 points.
