Congratulations to your girls varsity tennis team on their 3 – 2 win over Greenfield yesterday. Remie Jerard and Danielle Atayan won at second and third singles, while Beyonca Twiggs and Rhayanna Shubrick took home the deciding point at first doubles.
 
Maddie Wyszynski surrendered just three hits and struck out three as the sophomore right hander earned the complete game one-sided win over Pathfinder yesterday. Wyszynski also had two hits offensively to help plate the runs in the win. Kayla Brown continued her offensive charge with 3 hits and 4 runs scored.
 
Finally the boys volleyball team took a straight set sweep over Longmeadow yesterday thanks in part to solid play by Aaron Williams, Paul Roberts and Esias Valentin.
 
Today we have the boys’ tennis team traveling to Holyoke High and both baseball teams traveling to Hampshire Regional. Good luck to all our teams!

Maddie Wyzsynski had 2 hits, but the varsity softball team dropped a 6 – 2 game to Central under the lights last night.  The jv girls lost in the preliminary game as well.
In the only other game action yesterday the boys varsity tennis team was swept at Turners Falls.
Today both softball teams travel to Pathfinder for games at 4:00 PM, the boys varsity volleyball team travels to Longmeadow High and the girls tennis team is at home at Forest Park.  Good luck to al our teams.

Remie Jerard and Danielle Atayan took care of second and third singles and Beyonca Twiggs and Katie Sharpe took the deciding point at first doubles as your girls varsity tennis team earned a 3 – 2 win over PVCA yesterday afternoon.
The varsity baseball team earned a 2 – 1 win over Putnam yesterday.  Armando Morales scattered three hits and struck out 8 to pick up the complete game win, while Dariel Santana and Rob Scoville turned some nifty base running into the Bulldogs’ two runs.
The boys varsity tennis team dropped a 5 – 0 match to Greenfield.
Finally both volleyball teams earned wins over Athol yesterday.  Aaron Williams, Davian Alban and Esias Valentin were solid throughout in the varsity sweep.  The jv took a 2 – 1 win in the preliminary match.
Today we have both softball teams over at Greenleaf Park to take on Central High.  The jv gets things going at 5:00 PM, while the varsity gets things started at 7:00 PM.  The boys tennis team also gets up to Turners Falls.  Good luck to all our teams.

Kayla Brown had a two-out double in the bottom of the 7th inning to score Lela Ficarra and the varsity softball team earned a 4 – 3 win over Hopkins Academy yesterday.  Bailey Barlow had four hits on the afternoon to continue her torrid hitting display as the junior first base player is hitting .682 on the young season.  Ficarra and Aurora Garcia had two hits apiece.  Jayden Dow pitched the complete game for the win.  The sophomore right hander allowed 6 hits and struck out 6 to earn the win.
The jv softball team dropped a one-sided game over at Greenleaf Park.
Rhayanna Shubrick scored the only point at third singles and the girls tennis team fell to Pope Francis yesterday by a 4 – 1 score.
The boys tennis team was swept by Central over at Forest Park.
Attention members of the junior class.  If you are a varsity athlete and meet the other qualifications please stop by Mr. Campagna’s office this week to get measured for your senior jacket.  We will finish measuring on Friday and orders will be placed.  Don’t be shut out.

Congratulations to your boys’ varsity volleyball team as they kept their undefeated season going with a 3 – 1 win over East Longmeadow last night.  The guys were led by Ki-Sean Johnson, Aaron Williams, Paul Roberts and James Monts.
All other games and events were postponed yesterday because of the weather.
Today we have the softball teams entertaining Hopkins Academy, the boys’ tennis team entertaining Central, the girls tennis team traveling to Pope Francis and both baseball teams getting out to Monson.  Good luck to all our teams this afternoon.

Your boys varsity volleyball team took home three straight wins over the break to improve their season record to 5 – 0.  Today they travel to East Longmeadow for what could prove to be a very competitive match.
The varsity baseball team dropped games to Granby and Palmer over the break.  In a schedule change the guys will travel to Monson tomorrow afternoon.
The softball team split their two games defeating Smith Academy and falling in the 7th inning to McCann Tech.  The girls will entertain Hopkins tomorrow afternoon.
The boys track team scored a decisive win over Southwick over the break, while the girls lost a competitive meet to Southwick.
The girls tennis team remains undefeated, while the boys team split their matches beating Sci-Tech and falling to Turners Falls.
With good weather we are expecting  a full slate of events this week.  Let’s get out there and cheer your Bulldogs on to victory!

Jayden Dow pitched a perfect game as the varsity softball team earned a one-sided win over Pope Francis yesterday to improve their record to 2 wins and 2 losses on the season.  Dow faced just fifteen hitters over the five inning game and the sophomore right hander struck out 11, while allowing no batter to reach base.  Dow also had three hits while completing an outstanding afternoon.  Bailey Barlow, Kayla Brown and Maddie Wyszynski were solid in the 16 hit offensive output.
Bryan Trinh swept at first singles and the boys varsity tennis team earned a 5 – 0 win over Sci-Tech to improve their record to 2 wins and just 1 loss on the season.
Today we have both baseball teams traveling to Ware High School, both track teams traveling to Putnam and the girls tennis team entertaining St. Mary High School at Forest Park.  Good luck to all our teams!

Aaron Williams, Ki-Sean Johnson, Esias Valentin and James Monts provided a steadying influence as they led the varsity volleyball team to a straight set sweep over Sci-Tech yesterday.  The win opened the home season for the guys and saw them remain undefeated on the young season.
All other games and athletic events were postponed yesterday.
Today we have the boys varsity tennis team taking on Sci-Tech at Forest Park and the varsity softball team traveling to Pope Francis for a 4:00 PM contest.
Attention juniors!  There are some new requirements – but if you have earned a varsity letter by the end of your junior year, participated on any team during your junior year and have three seasons in a single sport, then you may qualify for a free senior jacket.  Stop by Mr. Campagna’s office to see if you qualify and to get measured for your jacket.
Today is the Make Your Own Sundae fundraiser event to help defray costs for the boys basketball championship award ceremony.  Sundaes will be sold during all lunch periods for all grades today.  Each sundae may be purchased for $4.00.  Enjoy some ice cream and help the championship basketball team at the same time!

Tomorrow is ice cream sundae Wednesday as your boys varsity basketball team will be selling make your own sundaes during all lunch periods on Wednesday.  Sundaes will sell for $4.00 each and the profits will go towards the guys Western Mass Championship jackets. Your varsity softball team cracked the win column on Friday with a one-sided win over Pathfinder.  Lela Ficarra had two hits and Jayden Dow had 2 RBI to lead the offensive charge.  Dow got the win by scattering four hits and striking out seven in the circle.
Your girls track team opened their season with a hghly contested meet at West Springfield.  Although the girls dropped the meet, Gabby Harris and Ajianni Blackman qualified for the Western Mass championship meet in the long jump and Tatianna Skarzynski qualified in the triple jump.  Harris, Skarzynski and Antoinette O’Connor and Sydney Borders turned in a solid, qualifying time in the 4×100 meter realy and Vannessa Williams qualified in the shot put.

Your boys’ varsity volleyball team opened their season with a 3 – 0 sweep at Southwick yesterday.  Ki-sean Johnson, Aaron Williams, Davian Alban and Evan Tran paced the guys to their impressive road win.  The jv guys lost by a 2 – 1 score in the preliminary match.  Michael Green had an impressive service run in the winning game.
Jayden Dow had 10 strikeouts, but the girls varsity softball team managed just two singles by Maddie Wyszynski and Bailey Barlow, as they lost their opener to Pioneer Regional by a 7 – 2 score.
Your boys tennis team is back in action after a one year hiatus as they dropped a 4 – 1 match to Westfield High yesterday.  Jiovanni Cruz and Mackenzie Mongeon took the only point in an exciting second doubles match.
Today the varsity softball team travels to Monument Mountain High School in the Berkshires, the girls tennis team gets up to Holyoke and the boys track team is at Monson.  Today is also our varsity baseball home opener for the baseball team as they will take on Lee High School at Hubbard Park at 4:45 PM.  Good luck to all our teams.

Our interscholastic athletic teams really get going this week as the boys tennis team, the boys’ volleyball teams and both softball teams open their seasons today.  The softball teams are waiting to get the green light on opening the fields to ensure today’s games will be played.  The girls tennis team gets things going tomorrow and the boys track and field team and the varsity softball team are each on the road.  Tomorrow we are also scheduled for the baseball home opener, but the field condition will dictate that event..  Finally, the girls track team kicks off their season on Friday along with a full slate of other scheduled events.  Good luck to all!
Congratulations to Christian Rivas who recently finished 6th overall in a national wrestling tournament.  Well done, Christian.

Your boys’ track and field team opened their season on Friday with a very competitive loss at West Springfield High School.  The guys were led by Erick Bass, Jeremy Townsend, Jahmal Campbell and Kofi Agyei-Yeboah who each recorded first place finishes.  Bass also qualified for the Western Mass championship meet in the 100 meter dash and Ethan Wells recorded a third place, and the only throwing top three finish in the javelin.
Things really get going this week as the boys tennis team, the boys’ volleyball teams and both softball teams open their seasons tomorrow.  The girls tennis team gets things going on Wednesday and the girls track team kicks off their season on Friday.  Good luck to all!

Spring tryouts begin today and all times, locations and transportation plans are listed on the monitors throughout the school. Due to the weather a few off campus sessions will be held today. Students who have not yet registered online must do so and be medically cleared before attending anything this week.
 
An after school room will be available all week for student athletes who have tryouts or practices beginning anytime from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

The boys varsity basketball team dropped their state semi-final game last night at Worcester State University. It was simply not their night as they never really were able to execute their game plan. Aaron Williams had 15 points and Souleymane Diaby added 10. The game marled the final high school varsity appearance for Jalen Thomas, Jamal Jackson, Ja’Quan Johnson, Ki-Sean Johnson and Aaron Williams. Congratulations to the seniors and to the entire team on a season well done. Their Western Mass Championship banner will soon hand on the walls of the gym!
 
Earlier this week Aaron Williams was named the Western Massachusetts boys’ high school basketball Player of the Year by the basketball Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Aaron as he completes a very successful high school career. He finishes this season with 522 points and his career with 1204 points.
 
The spring interscholastic athletic programs begin on Monday and tryout times and locations for all sports are posted online and on the monitors throughout the school building. Only those students who have registered on the family ID website and have medical clearance from the Athletic Trainer will be allowed to participate in any tryout session. If you have any questions relating to your eligibility please see Sam or Mr. Campagna today.

Aaron Williams had 34 points and Tre Hodge added 25 as your boys varsity basketball team scored a 90- 65 win over Murdock last night.  The guys advance to the semi-final round of the MIAA regional tournament.  The game was tied after the first quarter, but the guys used a pressuring defense, excellent work on the boards and a fast paced offensive effort to pull away and gain the impressive win.  Ki-sean Johnson controlled the offensive boards and added 10 points on the night.  The guys will now play at UMass early next week at a day and time that has not yet been announced.
Tonight it’s the girls time to try and advance to UMass as they travel to Hoosac Valley for a 7:00 PM contest.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.
Congratulations to the bowling club as they took home another Western Mass championship.
Good luck to Christian Rivas in the New England wrestling tournament this weekend and to Kayla Brown as her ice hockey team advances in the MIAA tournament.
Tomorrow we have a conditioning session for girls interested in softball from 9 – 11 and on Sunday it’s the baseball hopefuls with their session from 11:30 until 1:00 PM.

Tonight your boys varsity basketball team entertains Murdock High School in the quarter final round of the MIAA tournament.  Admission is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.  The game tips at 7:00 PM and doors will open at 5:30 PM.  Let’s get here early to cheer the guys on to a win.
The girls will travel to Hoosac Valley High School tomorrow night – also for a quarter final game.  We know it’s a long trip, but let’s get out there and support our girls tomorrow!
Wins by either team will advance them to the semi-final games to be played at UMass early next week.
Remember girls interested in softball will hold a conditioning session on Saturday from 9 – 11 AM and baseball will hold their session on Sunday from 11:30 – 1 PM.  All are welcome.

It was senior night for the girls varsity basketball team, but the girls dropped a league game against Granby by a score of 61 – 43.  Paris Lizana had 20 points to lead the effort and Safaire Bryant added 13.
Your jv girls took the win in the preliminary game by a score of 27 – 22.  Kalis Malcolm had 10 points to lead the offensive charge.  Maddie Wysynski and Salimata Diaby chipped in with 6 and 5 points respectively.
Today your boys freshmen entertain Minnechaug here at 4:00 PM, while the jv and varsity travel down the road to Minnechaug for games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.
Today also begins the two-day state wrestling championships with Christian Rivas, Jalen Rogers, Christian Kelley, Xavier Reyes and Quintin Pellegrino each trying to earn a state crown.  Good luck to all our wrestlers.
Finally conditioning will be held tomorrow morning for girls interested in softball and on Sunday for baseball hopefuls.
Senior night is Wednesday over vacation for the boys and the cheerleaders when the guys entertain West Springfield High with a 7:00 PM game.

Sean Akey hit a half court buzzer beater to give your boys freshmen basketball team a one point (48 – 47) overtime win over Ludlow yesterday afternoon.  Akey’s shot capped a torrid fourth quarter charge to get back into the game and force the overtime period.  Jay’lin Lovejoy had 18 points before fouling out in the overtime period to lead the Bulldog offensive efforts.  Akey added 11 and Isaiah Jones had 10 points.
Your jv guys defeated Easthampton by a score of 67 – 35 on the road.  Kevin West, Tareeq Evans and Alex Williams led the team effort.
The boys varsity made it a clean sweep on the day as they defeated Easthampton by a score of 66 – 49.  Aaron Williams had 19 and Souleymane Diaby had 18 points to pace the offensive efforts.  Jamal Jackson and Kisean Johnson chipped in with 9 points apiece.  Jackson had 10 assists as well.
Today is senior night for the girls basketball team as they will entertain Granby here with a 5:30 jv game and the varsity game to follow.  Be here early to honor the team’s senior class.
Tomorrow we close out the week with the guys freshmen here at 4:00 PM and the jv and varsity heading over to Minnechaug for games at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.

Your tournament bound girls varsity tennis team took home a 5 – 0 win over Renaissance School yesterday as Emma Smith, Remie Jerard and Danielle Attayan swept the singles play and Angie Gonzalez and Beyonca Twiggs won at first doubles and Katie Sharpe and Nyah Seago took home the win at second doubles.  Kayla Brown ad Aurora Garcia had home runs, while Brown, Alyssa Padilla and Amanda Odom had multi-hit games to lead the offensive attack as your varsity softball team took a win over Gateway yesterday.  In the jv game it was Amerie Krautler and Kailene Davis leading the way to their road win.  The jv baseball team dropped a crisply played 4 – 0 game at Southwick.  Good luck to all our teams this afternoon.

Congratulations to your varsity softball team on their 9 – 0  win over Monument Mountain on Friday.  With the win the girls improved their season record to 10 wins against just 2 losses and they earned an invitation to the MIAA postseason tournament which begins early in June. Jayden Dow was solid in the circle as she pitched the complete game shutout registering 13 strikeouts while allowing just two hits.  Bailey Barlow led a balanced offensive team effort.  Your girls varsity tennis team lost to Mohawk Trail Regional on Friday.  Beyonca Twiggs and Rhayanna Shubrick took home the only team point at first doubles.  Your boys varsity baseball team defeated Southbridge High on Saturday by a 6 – 3 score, while the jv also earned a win at Southbridge thanks in part of Donavan Dulude who pitched well in his mound debut.  Bryan Trinh scored three times for the guys.  Congratulations to your boys varsity volleyball team as they also qualified for the MIAA tournament with their sweep over Ware High on the road.  Ki-Sean Johnson, Esias Valentin and Paul Roberts led the guys to the impressive road victory.  The jv guys also swept their match with Davian Alban, Devon Boreland, Ibrahim  Diaby and Evan Tran solid throughout.  Finally both track teams were impressive in their meet on Friday. Nehemiah Johnson, Siare Barklow, Nick Audette, Ethan Wells, Tre Hodge, Gabby Harris, Sydney Borders and Lashay Jackson were each very successful on the afternoon.

Your varsity softball team moved to within one win of qualifying for the MIAA tournament with their 7 – 2 win over Granby on the road yesterday.  Jayden Dow pitched the complete game to earn the win as the freshman scattered five hits while striking out seven hitters.  Amanda Odom, Alexa Jacques and Jada Ficarra were solid offensively for the girls.  The jv softball team dropped a competitive game at Granby as well.  Kailene Davis was solid in the circle for the girls.
Today we have a full slate of games if the weather cooperates.  The varsity softball team is here, while baseball and volleyball team s are each traveling to Ware and the girls tennis team and both track and field teams are on the road as well.  Good luck to all our teas!

The boys’ varsity volleyball team earned their 9th win of the season with a sweep over Southwick on the road yesterday.  Dylan Hibbert, Easias Valentin ad Ki-Sean Johnson paced the guys to their exciting win.  Aaron Williams, Joseph Torres, Jalen Thomas, and Paul Roberts were also solid in the win.  Jada Ficarra earned the complete game win as your girls varsity softball team won their 8th game of the season with a one-sided win over Southbridge High School.  Madeline Wyszynski, Kayla Brown, Alexa Jacques and Jayden Dow provided the offensive punch for the girls in the independent team win.  Kailene Davis pitched a shutout and she was solid at the plate as the jv softball team won their game over Southbridge as well. Your varsity baseball team dropped their home game to Commerce.
Today we have the girls softball teams traveling to Granby High and the baseball teams entertaining Southwick with the first pitch scheduled for 4 pm.  Tomorrow we have the girls tennis team on the road, the varsity softball team here at 4:30 PM, both track teams over at East Longmeadow High, the volleyball teams getting over to Ware and both baseball teams on the road at Ware High.  Finally on Saturday, it’s both baseball teams n the road to Southbridge for late afternoon games.  Good luck to all our teams.  Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans!
