Jaren Suttles had 18 points and the boys varsity team played an excellent first three quarters of basketball while holding on in the final frame for a 63 – 60 win over Holyoke High on Friday night. Tre Hodge added 13, while the guys gave a solid team defensive effort to improve their record to 4 – 9 on the season and keep their tournament hopes alive. The jv guys lost in the preliminary game and the freshmen mounted a torrid comeback but fell short dropping a 10 point game on the road. Darin Smith had 13 points to lead the guys. Your wrestling team split their four matches over the weekend as Jalen Rogers, Khadir Zachery, Christian Rivas and Jacob Dagenais went undefeated on the day. Today it’s the boys basketball teams back at it with the jv and varsity travelling to West Springfield for an important league game, while the freshmen are here at 4:00 PM. Tomorrow is senior night for the wrestlers as they host Minnechaug at 7:00 PM and the girls jv and varsity basketball teams travel to Amherst for games beginning at 5:30 PM. On Wednesday the girls freshmen are here at 4:00 PM and on Thursday it’s the guys hosting Minnechaug with the jv game tipping at 5:30 PM. Let’s get some big crowds out there. Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans. Admission is just $3.00 for students, $5.00 for adults and staff is admitted free to all regular season home games.
