Your boys varsity basketball team took home a hard fought victory over Mount Greylock here on Saturday by a score of 59 – 54. The guys dug an early hole for themselves falling behind by 11 points in the opening three minutes of play. But a team style effort and a no quit attitude gave the guys the win as they advance to play at UMass on Tuesday in the Western Mass semi-final game. Tre Hodge led the way on Saturday with 19 points, while Aaron Williams added 11 to lead a balanced offensive effort. The guys will play tomorrow at UMass in an 8:00 PM game. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Congratulations also go out to the cheerleading team on their successful defense of their Western Mass championship. The girls will now compete for the State Championship next Sunday out at Whitman Hanson High School. Good luck to all! Let’s fill the stands with Bulldog fans.
