Your boys varsity soccer team scored a 2 – 1 win over Mount Everett Saturday at our annual Homecoming games. Jovan Wallace and Brandon Rusinque scored for the guys, while Dariel Santana was solid in goal with 14 saves. The jv guys also took home a win. Kendall Wallace had three goals and two assists and Jeremy Ndungo recorded three goals in the win as the guys had a 7 – 0 victory.
Your girls varsity soccer team was knotted in a 0 – 0 tie against Hampshire Regional at the half thanks in large part to some excellent goal keeping by Kayla Brown. But a couple of lapses in the second half and an inability to find the back of the net contributed to their 3 – 0 loss. The jv girls lost by a 3 – 0 score as well. They surrendered three first half goals and then shutout Hampshire in the second half.
Your girls varsity volleyball team took the first game against Chicopee Comp, but then dropped the next three to record a 3 – 1 loss. Tyleisia Cooper, Cassie Fairman and Sydney Barklow played well in the loss. Your jv girls dropped a 2 – 1 contest. Liz Villa, Tabitha Picot, Sauna Charles and Amaya Harris paced the girls efforts. The freshmen dropped a straight set match in the opening games. Lanaya Davis and Kayleena Colon paced the girls.
The cross country girls took home a team win in their dual meet against HCSS. Adriana Carmona, Nadia Nowicki and Grace Blase took second, third and fifth places overall to record the team win.
Jared Denson took home first place overall as your boys cross country team defeated HCSS in their dual meet. Jamal Campbell and Kevin West had top five finishes to support the team victory.
Finally the golf team dropped their match on Friday to Franklin Tech. Colin Consedine recorded his career low round and Zariah Green took home three points on the afternoon.
