Daily Update

Congratulations to your boys varsity basketball team on their quarter final win over Mohawk Trail Regional High School on Friday.  A near sellout crowd watched Nathan Colon go off for 28 points, including 7 3-pointers to lead the way.  Jaren Suttles was solid defensively and Justin Rennis added 26 points with an outstanding offensive show himself.  The guys advance to the Western Mass semi-final round on Wednesday of this week at the UMass Cage.  Game time is 4:30 PM and tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students.

Kolby Smith was one of just three Western Mass wrestlers to place in the New England tournament held in Providence, RI this past weekend as the senior finished 6th overall in the 170 pound category.  Congratulations, Kolby!

Finally your bowling club made a strong showing in the state tournament as they finished 11th overall in their division.  Colin Fairman finished 10th in the state, while Shayne Audet was able to finish 24th overall as well.

Online registration for all spring sports is in full swing on the family ID website.  There will be no in-person registration sessions. The season begins for all sports in less than two weeks on Monday, March 21st.  You must have a valid physical exam on file with the nurse and register online in order to be eligible.  Otherwise, all students in grades 7 – 12 are eligible to participate.  Register early.  We will be offering teams for baseball, softball, boys’ volleyball, boys and girls tennis, and boys and girls track and field.  See Mr. Campagna or Nurse Dupuis if you have any questions about your physical exam or about your registration.  Some of the sports have big registration numbers already – register early so you can get cleared to tryout.  Don’t wait until the last minute.

Preseason workouts for spring sports will be held all week.  Please see a spring coach or ask a teammate for the exact days and times for each session.  There will no after school athletic programs on Wednesday.

We would like to have a student fan bus for the game on Wednesday.  We are looking for two adult chaperones.  If anyone is interested please message or speak to Mr. Campagna.  We will have more details later today if we can put the trip together.
