Jada Ficarra pitched a no-hitter yesterday and Kayla Brown had two homeruns as the varsity softball team earned a mercy rule win over Public Safety Academy here at home. Your varsity baseball team had an early lead, but they lost to Public Safety by a 7-6 score. Kyle Pingree, Nick Thibodeau and Griffin Spear had two hits apiece in the loss. Your boys tennis team earned a 3-2 win over Lee High School as both Ahn Nguyen and Nathan Reed swept their singles matches. The girls lost to Lee by a score of 4-1. Remi Jerard and Katie Sharp took the point at second doubles. Finally your boys track team lost to Franklin Tech by a score of 70 – 66. Dave Allen earned top honors in the 200 meter run, while Shawn Pierce was tops in the javelin and Amadi Pendleton won the 400 meters. The big surprise was Tyriek Marsh who won the high jump in his first appearance ever in that event. Today we have the boys’ volleyball teams ready to go at 4:00 PM here against Belchertown and if the weather permits we have the varsity baseball team here and the girls’ tennis team on the road at Belchertown. Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.
