Markina Ako-Brew played an inspirational final set as your girls’ varsity volleyball team earned a 3 – 2 win over Turners Falls last night and inched closer to a tournament invitation. Ako-Brew, Mykaela DeBrito, Remani Lizana and Julia Guilbert were solid in the win. The jv lost a close 2 – 1 match in the preliminary. Brianna Martinez played well all around. Your girls’ cross country team split their competitions yesterday as they defeated Franklin Tech and lost to Mohawk Trail. Your girls placed four girls in the top ten led by An’janae Washington (4th), Tanialyz Almenas (5th), Eliza Mullin (7th) and Sara Miranda (8th). Your boys picked up wins over Franklin Tech and Hopkins and they lost to Mohawk. Nick Audette, Amadi Pendleton and Stephan Heathman each finished in the top 10 overall. Your golf team dropped a close match to Pathfinder. Austin Benoit recorded the low score of the day for your Bulldogs. The girls’ varsity soccer team dropped a 4 – 2 game at Palmer, while the jv team took a 5 – 3 win in the preliminary game. Aniyah Forbes (3 goals) and Ajianni Blackman (2 goals) accounted for all the scoring. Today it’s both the boys’ soccer teams and the girls volleyball teams here at home, while the golf team holds their final home match of the season at Veterans. Good luck to all. Let’s get ready to fill the stands with Bulldog fans.
