Congratulations to your boys’ varsity volleyball team on their straight set win over Southwick yesterday. The victory gave the guys their 9th win of the year and an automatic bid to the MIAA postseason tournament. Colin Fairman, Austin Benoit, David Marsh, Dylan Hibbert and Esias Valentin paced the guys to the win. The boys’ jv volleyball started the evening with straight set win over Southwick. It was a solid team effort lead by Evan Tran, Siare Barklow, Liam Jansen, Jared Denson and Quintin Pellegrino. Your varsity boys tennis team recorded a 4-1 win over Sci-Tech. Matt Wraga and Chris Calvanese took home singles wins, while Matthew Elmasian and Chris Gonzalez earned the point at first doubles. Your varsity softball team dropped a tough 6-5 game to Granby High. Jayden Dow was solid in the circle and Jada Ficarra had three hits in the loss. The jv softball team earned a 5 – 4 win over Granby. Kalene Daivs earned the pitching win as she recorded 7 strikeouts in the crisply played game. The varsity baseball team was on the short end of a 5 – 3 game as they recorded 7 hits in the loss. Five defensive miscues by the Bulldogs decided the outcome of the contest. Today it’s both tennis teams going at it again and the girls track team travels to Turners Falls.
