Daily Update

Congratulations to your girls varsity soccer team on their convincing 2-1 win over Southwick yesterday.  Avalon Mateo had both goals for the Lady Dogs, while Sarah Brown was nearly flawless in the nets.  Alizaya Clark and Frankie Diaz anchored the defensive effort.  The JV soccer team earned a 2-2 draw with Anjianni Blackman and Takeelya Jackson finding the back of the net.  Your girls varsity volleyball team made it three in a row as they defeated a very good Athol team by a score of 3-2.  Remani Lizana had 14 aces  and 7 kills to lead the girls, while Julissa Arce with 28 assists and Markina Ako-Brew were solid throughout. Your jv team fell to Athol by a 2-1 score.  Brionne Burnett, Cassie Fairman, Angie Gonzalez and Zhalyn Burton played well in the losing effort.  Finally your golf team lost to Pioneer Regional.  Austin Benoit recorded the low Bulldog round, while he took home a draw in his individual round.

Today we have the  cross country team gets in action at Forest Park and the boys soccer team will travel to Athol for games under the lights.   Tomorrow the girls volleyball team tries to keep their winning streak alive with home matches beginning at 4:00 PM and the golf team entertaining Southwick over at Veterans.  Thursday will have the girls soccer team hosting Monson and the golf team matching up with Ware.  Let’s get out there and support your teams!

Out of season strength and conditioning workouts will begin next Monday for anyone wishing to get themselves in shape.  You don’t have to be a winter or spring season athlete to sign up.  Sessions will be held every Monday and Wednesday with the girls going from 6 – 7 pm and the boys from 7- 8 pm.  If interested, please see Mr. Campagna for more details and to reserve a spot.

The Booster Club, along with the girls soccer team, will sponsor a middle school dance on Friday, 9/25 (the night before the Harvest Games) from 6 until 9 pm.  Admission is $5 per person and refreshments will be sold.
